Cute idle progression game! Runs VERY well, even with the screen full of stuff, even on this not-so-great potato, very responsive. Let it run overnight a few nights and had beaten it a few days later. Had fun, had some strategy, and enjoyed telling my little lemmings to hit the rock with bigger and bigger sticks.

Pokemon meets Harvest Moon, it's a cute little casual game with perhaps 15 hours of content, a bit more if you're an achievement hunter.

Hogwarts + Skyrim: A Love Child : 10/10!

This game has lots of love put into it and it shows. I'm only 4 hours in but I'm really loving it. (Yes you can choose a different house if you didn't like the one the Sorting Hat chose for you). For once, there is a storyline that you don't want to skip through to the end. The puzzles are light but still challenging enough to make you think. I'm enjoying making relationships with others, exploring, the richness of the environment, and the variety of quests. I greatly enjoyed the lessons - they were not the dull book-work I expected.

There are lots of little touches like accessability options in the menu, warnings when you get too far, the map guidance system, ways to get around the very large map quickly, the excellent tutorial system that you barely notice, slowly unlocking new things without getting too overwhelmed, doing an excellent job at keeping you focused on the what the next tasks are, and ways to help you figure out interesting stuff near you. I felt the map page was innovative and the menu system is familiar and doesn't seem clunky. There are other very small touches that show love, like where the developers wrote about a boring hallway and how they made it interesting and fun, being able to pet cats, and how thestrals are/aren't visible.

The game's opening soundtrack is a work of art and the music is quite good throughout the game with seemless transitions.

For negatives, some minor characters have a small lack in animation in their eyebrows and expressions, but I feel it's very forgivable. Also I struggled a tad figuring out how to save and exit (in the menu> settings). I'm a person who struggles with nausea/car-sickness with 3d games and I did feel some wooziness around the 3 hours of playing at a time mark (which is very forgivable on my scale), so if you also are a person that struggles, this game should still be ok, just take breaks and try not to play for too long at a time. That's it, that's ALL the negatives, really nothing to be afraid of!

TL;DR: This is not someone's clunky fan-fiction of a game. This game is VERY well done and I'm having a lot of fun.

Circle Peg, Meet Square Hole. The Game. Just with Pretty Farming Graphics.

This is exactly the type of game that I do like, incrementals, farming, merchanting, and it looked perfect in the screenshots. But, I had no idea from those pictures that this is actually a tetris-like card game. You get to choose from 1-2 cards, and you can only ever really put 1-2 things on the board and no matter what you choose, you will be waiting.

Do you remember that pre-school toy that is a wooden block bucket with a lid that has cut-outs to insert a circle, star, and square wooden pegs? That's what this mechanic is like. And it's funny because as you play through the game, the entire mechanics are like that: "PICK A OR B. BUT DEFINITELY, YOU SHOULD PICK A. NO, NO, NOT B. I MEAN, YOU CAN. BUT YOU SHOULD PICK A." It's almost as if this game was really designed for toddlers with tablets, just missing all the arrows pointing at where you should click.

I bought my second field and then gave up. This game is a slog. There is no place where the game lets go of the hand-holding and lets you really play. You're tied to this system where the dialog is supposed to be the interesting thing that keeps you playing, while you skip through turn after turn with nothing to do, and the things that there are to do are only busy-work that exist in the game because it's "educational". The storyline is not enough to hold this game together.

Supposedly there are more in-depth mechanics for doing the wrong thing, lol, but they are hidden behind screens that you don't use. There's never enough wine, and saving bottles feels as pointless as talking to your ex-wife about joining alcoholics anonymous, again, because you know all those bottles will be gone in, like, 3 days, tops.

This game feels like a confused mess of an educational video game grant where the funders kept changing their minds about what they wanted their 4-year old to play and at the last minute decided to add more adult dialog and put new ways to fail where no one would find them.

I just had such high hopes from the beautiful customization intro, from the screenshots, and then bam, paradox shift back to the bucket-and-wooden-block-game where you only get 1 or 2 wooden shapes at a time.

This is a perfect game.

This is top-down Terraria, a new adventure, with a new type of spirit. I've only finished 3 bosses now, 20 hours in and it doesn't feel like I'm entering the end-game, it feels like I'm just starting to cut my baby teeth. The music is beautiful, the sound effects are perfect, and the landscape is lonely. The second boss was truly a novel work of art that genuinely made me feel terror and despair.

YES!!!

This game is like Stardew Valley and LittleWood. The minute I started playing, I was enraptured, and ended up playing for 2 hours straight before I realized it. I read some bad reviews and was really afraid this game would be unplayable (they said "UI issues"), but I didn't see that at all. I have been anticipating this game for a long time because it looked so cute and I was NOT disappointed! I'm super happy with it and will be binging on this game for a while, now!

Pros:
- seems to be a storyline!
- unique setting
- quirky with its own sense of humor; LOVE it!
- has its own unique style / tileset / "feel" ; it doesn't feel like a clone of anything
- solves an issue that Stardew had with not knowing if you've talked to someone yet today
- developer is continuing to push out updates with new stuff!

Cons:
- the first 1-3 days seem a little long as you aren't sure yet what to do
- on PC, the Z, SPACE, and ENTER keys are a little intermixed in certain situations. Saving is probably the most confusing, so if you aren't sure, try each
- I am on day 5 now and I would like to start a large storyline / quest chain very soon and find out more about the island/characters/certain situations and what the heck happened between falling asleep and waking up that first day
- so far the weapon swing animations/timing seem slow and are getting a bit annoying (BUT it may just be that I need to buy better/upgraded tools soon)

I really wanted to like this game but I struggled with figuring out what the controls were and how to get started and what to do first and where to go. It sort of just dumps you in an open world. I loved harvest moon and stardew and such but I just couldn't get into this game.

It needs more polish.

Honestly? This game is a bargain for how many hours it takes to play, the plot twists and unexpected events, the beauty, and the polished state of this game. You can sit in chairs, you can hug your cat, and you can hug everyone else, too. 10/10

4.999/5 stars!!

Make no mistake, this IS a perfect game! I came in with meager expectations and was blown away by the simplicity, quality, sounds, and storytelling. There's an ASMR component with the sound bytes and the perfection in setting something down. Finding things in unexpected places, struggling with space, and there's never enough clothes hangers! I laughed a few times with some unexpected finds and on one level found myself spending a half hour trying to hunt down a missing item in a pair when it wasn't an objective. The moment where you question "Why can't I move this? Oh, because it's not mine; they said no." was a perfect moment.

I felt for the protagonist and their journey through life, and I loved learning about them and their relationships through stuff. I loved the feeling of time passing as you work all day to unpack.

I rated this game -0.001 stars for these drawbacks:

(1) Music starts to get a bit repetitive by the end
(2) Didn't like how the photo albums on the start screen are save slots, I wanted them to be new stories
(3) Wanted a chance to play a male-protagonist story, and a gender-fluid/non-binary story
(4) Wanted to see more material possessions from relationship drama - wanted those antacids to come after moving back into my own place. Some clues into why there were canes, now.
(5) Wanted to interact more with the world, wanted to open the sliding glass doors and windows and let some air in, brew coffee, open the refridgerator, open the microwave, strum the guitar, and desperately wanted to clean up a certain person's sink-mess
(6) 5-6 hours of gameplay (I took my time) is a lot to charge for the full-price of this game
(7) I expected more levels on the core gameplay story - moving into a bigger house or re-arranging the current one for more children/twins/triplets. Building an add-on for adopted children. Building a dog house and a tree-house for the kids. Finishing a basement and moving the leftover construction materials into the wastebin. Moving into a smaller place when the kids have gone to college. Moving into a retirement villa.
(8) In the college dorm story, wanted to unstick glue from the desk, peel off old stickers, lube up a squeaky chair, toss someone else's candy wrappers into the wastebasket.
(9) In some places the isometric view prevents you from putting things where it looks like they should fit and I wanted to change my view to a different angle briefly

Please make more expansion packs!
