Building your car is awesome, but once you start drifting it you quickly discover the physics feel awful.

Calling this game an open world experience is like calling a puddle an ocean.

Visualize with me, a masterpiece, seamlessly blending the storytelling magic of classic D&D CRPGs with modern gameplay mechanics, incredible graphical fidelity, a beautiful soundtrack, and hundreds of hours of brilliant voice acting.

Envision an immersive world where your decisions aren't just choices; they're threads intricately woven into an epic narrative tapestry, offering a diverse and endlessly replayable story. Where your journey unfolds with absolute player agency, granting you the tools to roam freely, engage creatively, and forge your own personal path.

Picture a complete experience devoid of microtransactions, respecting you as a player and standing firm as a polished beacon of integrity in a sea of quick cash grabs drowning in predatory monetization. Fancy a company that leverages early access as a tool to refine the product, rather than a paltry ploy to reach early access into your wallet.

Now, stop fantasizing and play. Your adventure awaits - time to roll the dice!

Even in the realm of Everland, where adventures last forever, we'll forever miss the laughs, unforgettable moments, and the unique Reckful magic.

Rest in peace, Byron; your legendary stream will keep on gaming in our hearts.

This is a tip to Larian Studios for making a great game, but I enjoyed the in-game items more than I thought I would.

🌈 Greetings, fellow wayfarers on the path to peace! Today, I embarked on a quest for serenity through the chaotic landscape of 1hr Meditation. Alas, what I discovered was a digital labyrinth of unpolished interfaces, dreadful text-to-speech voices, and the haunting echoes of repetitive, royalty-free classical music.

🧘 My journey began with the regular sitting meditation, and I must confess, the only thing sitting was my disappointment. The user interface, a haphazard amalgamation of mismatched colors and clashing elements, resembled the aftermath of a color palette explosion. I found myself yearning for the tranquil simplicity of a monk's robe, not this eyesore of a screen.

🕊️ The movement meditations were a choreographed disaster. Imagine trying to gracefully pirouette through a virtual meadow while contending with an interface that felt like it was designed during a coffee-induced caffeine rush. The only dance I mastered was the awkward shuffle of frustration.

🎶 Adding insult to my metaphysical injury, the repetitive royalty-free classical music played in the background like a broken record stuck in the wrong dimension. Composers would turn in their grave if they heard their masterpieces reduced to a loop in this digital dungeon.

💤 The voices, oh, the voices! Expect to be greeted by an abysmal text-to-speech narrator, the guidance felt more like a tedious lecture from a malfunctioning robot than a soothing journey within. I yearned for the mellifluous tones of a wise meditation guide, not the droning monotony of artificial speech.

🚫 My dear seekers of stillness, save yourself from this digital monstrosity. The game may promise inner peace, but all it delivered was a dissonant cacophony of visual eyesores, auditory irritations, and an overall experience akin to meditating in a virtual dumpster.

Namaste? I think I'll stick to the analog path. 🚶‍♂️🕊️

What can I say about The Witcher 3 that hasn't already been said?

Well, now It's the perfect time to play if you haven't yet. It's basically finished in terms of all the DLC and updates. You can play it now and have the full complete experience - and it's awesome. Grab it on sale and don't skimp on the DLC, it's fantastic.

Next up, they're working on releasing serious mod tooling which will probably be released next year. In a few years you can come back to it and hopefully have some excellent community created content to explore.

That's not to say there isn't mods you can use right now, mostly smaller quality of life stuff. Check the Nexus and look for mods that have been updated sometime since July, 2023 or later. Those are most likely to work with the current version of the game. They might mention Next-Gen in the title or description.

Have fun!

I will now proceed to tell you random tips and tricks I wish I knew when I started playing:
  • Don't sell your Witcher Gear, that's the green colored items that come from various Witcher schools. They can later be upgraded into some of the best armor in the game. Put them in your stash if you don't need them right now.
  • When you get too close to the edge of the world it'll open the map, you can then fast travel anywhere or close the map to be put near where you were but pointed in the right direction.
  • Stuff sells for more if you're talking to the vendor that specializes in that item.
  • When you're getting attacked underwater you can use your crossbow and kill them in one shot.
  • When you're just starting out loot and sell everything for cash.
  • If you hold your crossbow button you can manually aim, but if you just tap it it'll autoaim. Manually aimed headshots do more damage.
  • You might get a bad ending if you romance both love interests.
  • Buy recipes from the shops.
  • Play Gwent, it's fun and addictive.
  • If you want to collect all the Gwent cards then play everyone right away, you might not get a chance to later as the story progresses.
  • Summon your horse faster by looking in the opposite direction you want him to spawn.
  • Use Quen and when you get damaged back up and use it again.
  • Read, or at least open all the books and notes and then sell them.
  • It's not like other games where you craft potions, use them and craft more, rather your potions will be replenished for free when you use the meditate function.
  • If you want to hunt animals for food, you can just run into them with your horse and they'll die.
  • You can loot a monster nest after you blow it up!
  • You'll obtain a lot of useless currency that you can exchange into real money at Vivaldi’s Bank in Novigrad.
  • If you find a "Place of Power" use it to get a buff, and also an ability point the first time you use it.
  • Don't worry about how you spec your character at first. You can use a "Potion of Clearance" to respec your character later.
  • You can steal stuff, just run away from the guards and they'll forget about you.
  • Use Axii on a wild horse and it'll be yours to ride.
  • If you're in a boat you can fast travel to docks.
  • Save early, save often.
  • Buy every gwent card you see from shops.
  • When you're unlocking skills with ability points, you need to equip that ability by dragging it over to the open slots on the right or it won't do anything for you.

Can you pick an actual license for your assets? You say on the store page that they're royalty free with no hidden costs, but what would be better is actually licensing them under a real license like 'CC0'.

As it stands, these assets are practically useless. I'm not a lawyer by any means, but just writing that they're "royalty free" isn't good enough to make me feel comfortable using them in any project.
