so the game looks wonderful and plays really well, too! But in still suffers some annoying mechanics which don't enhance and only take away enjoyment, like having to be lined up perfectly well to pick up a small medkit...it gets tedious very quickly! It would be nice to have a little more background music or at least the option to turn it on/off.

The quick switch graphics is fun and also can be used instead of flares at certain points in the game, not sure if that is intentional or not.

Getting the game for under £20 is something I'm happy with and overall its fun to replay this game in an updated setting, where the controller actually works reasonably well.

It took me several years to play this game and I put it off mainly because of the animation! Oh boy was that a mistake! The story, the characters, the simple yet rewarding game play, its all perfect! Seriously, if you're looking for a fun story rich game with characters you care about, that lasts a decent amount of time with multiple choices then this is 100% for you. It is so engrossing and the music just works flawlessly with it.

This is not a baldur's gate game, its a boring and uninspiring dungeon crawl that is borderline homophobic

I had waited ages for it to become a playable game, but it is still not there yet as it is riddled with annoying, game slowing bugs, mainly sound based issues and long load times ( my rig is way beyond the upper settings ) The turn based combat makes me want to blow my brain out and makes the game feel incredibly stiff, boring and rigid. The game is clearly focused on combat and so is more of a tactics based combat emphasis game, rather than story, so if you a combat fan go for it, if you prefer rich story, then like me you will be very disappointed. The barter system/shop system is so slow and cumbersome that it feels like an utter chore. The length of the game leaves a lot to be desired, and again it really is just time spent grinding, not that I have fully finished it yet, but to state over 100 hours game play is an utter lie, unless you consider enjoyable game play grinding for hours.

gutted i spent so much on it and waited so long only to be greatly disappointed.

Oh and I am a huge D&D fan with many hours spent on BG1&2 and playing them when I was younger with much joy, this BG3 is an utter embarrassment and an abomination.

In some ways I feel the high praise comes from the fact there are a lack of strong RPG's and other decent games at the moment, sort of like the Marvel universe of awful films, so when something different comes along people slobber over it.

I had thought to drop the game after a few hours but I persevered as I thought something amazing was around the corner, but it was only more despair.

now on to the 3rd act and the world has actually come to life a little, which is engaging, but the combat is still the combat and the rest remains in place.

Avoid.

If you are a fan of the series then it is worth playing this one even if just to tick it off of the list, as although it may not be anywhere as exciting or inspiring as the others, it does live in that universe and it's nice to see what george and nico are up to....having said that, the graphics and controls are super clunky, it has it's share of bugs ( not game breaking ) and some of the puzzles are not based in any kind of logic at all..and has Nicos voice been changed?

The story is pretty decent so far, it has very funny parts and it has managed to keep my attention, even if the phone hacking to get past certain points in the game is super jarrrrring.

Don't expect anything incredible and you won't be disappointed, it is definitely the weakest link in the chain but I don't think think that means you should skip it.

This game is like having a heroin addiction. It offers you nothing after the first hit and just keeps pulling you back due to hoping for something as good as the first time. I really had no need to play for more than an hour, but like I said...Heroin.

What an engrossing and incredible trilogy.
Having played all of them separately when they were initially released it is great to see them have some love and care and made to be even more playable now.

Sure there are still a few gripes and little bugs but overall the journey is just magical, the characters are incredibly rich and the humour is and awkwardness is smart and hilarious.
The bonds that Shepard can forge with others feel very real, intimate and really manages to make you feel something and the way some carry over from game to game is spellbinding.
Garrus and Wrex, well you're both the best, serious good times.

It's a beautiful world to be part of and with this remaster even the first game looks super sleek!

If you have not played it then you are in for a treat, even if you don't hugely enjoy sci-fi!

Not much has been added for this pc version, but if you're a fan of the series then it is worth playing again for the memories.

personally this game rates quite highly for me and I feel the story is strong and hits hard at key moments, which considering it looks like a really kiddish game, it is actually fairly mature at times and draws the player in

Runs well and has no bugs that I have encountered apart from the oglops.
