I have no idea how to describe this game adequately other than it is a miracle of game design that it works as well as it does. On paper, this game should be bad. It shouldn't work at all. It should have a bunch of attempts at game design that don't work together and the game should fizzle out into irrelevance like all the others in the same category.

Somehow, everything works. It doesn't just work, it works VERY WELL.

It's really easy to compare this to Pokemon, but I think that it's a lot more fair to compare it to RimWorld and Ark: Survival. This makes the Pokemon games look like Monster Hunter.

For an "early access" title, this is a remarkably polished and stable experience. This is the best UE5 game I've ever seen run on handhelds like the Steam Deck and the ROG Ally. The only complaints I have are things that probably can be fixed with time and polish. The fact that they've sold so many units already means that this studio will have the resources to bring this to completion.

It's seriously good. I don't know what else to say other than with friends it's an amazing way to manufacture brand new sentences that become memes.

10/10, it's a game of the year candidate. Who knew that all Ark needed was cuddly little derps?

I got this game for free with my GPU and I still feel like I was scammed. I feel so bad for the developers because there _is_ a good game in here, but it needed more time in the oven to let its best form come out.

Wait for it to be patched, but until then don't hold your breath.

This game is art. If you are at all frustrated with the way that games are in the mass market, give this a try. It is an absolute must-play if you are a fan of comedy.

I have not gotten very far into this game yet, however this game is going to be one that I come back to over and over again for a long time. It feels like the best parts of Dark Souls all at once. There's a lot of mechanical differences between Elden Ring and Dark Souls, however the quality of life improvements in Elden Ring make more forgiving than Dark Souls.

This game is stuttery and unplayable on Windows, however it works like a dream on Linux with Proton Experimental. This is one of the first times I've ever experienced that.

Overall I'm very excited to play more of this game and die over and over as I inch my way through it. Amazing gamefeel. Must-play for fans of Dark Souls.

What can you really say about this game? It's a near flawless port of the best 3d game in the series. This game is just too good.

VRChat is basically the early phase killer app for VR. It needs a fairly beefy computer though.
