at christmas around like 2005 we went around my grandparents house where my uncle geoffry (i think) got me a dvd copy of a film called "the big blind" by whiteout films, it was a 32 minute film that was essentially one giant montage of semi-professional snowboarders snowboarding set to a backdrop of various rock songs such as the cranberries and the foo fighters, and i originally Thought it was like.. an ok gift until i went home and put it in my ps2 and watched it so much i scratched the Disk out on it

since then i always Loved snowboarding, I started saving up for a snowboard despite being like 12 years old, i bought all the SSX games and religiously started to Listen to That kind of rock music, it shaped who I was and and i fell into a world of my own

so come like... 2007 when i was 12 years old My parents took me snowboarding for the first Time i didn't have a snowboard so me and my friend at the time weslye went to the slope at MK with both my parents, where we showed up to go snowboarding but we had to wait outside whilst mum and dad went to rent the stuff, but it turned Out you had to book in advance and there was nothing we could do to go snowboarding so instead we went To mcdonalds where they had the saver menu and mum and dad bought like fifteen pounds Worth of mcChickens, so we sat on the bonnet of the car looking at the indoor slope and eating chicken burgers before we drove home. it was a pretty average birthday, but a terrible christmas
