Absolute brilliance.
It is simple, but deceptively challenging. You will feel like a badass playing this game, despite there being only two buttons. The movements of the fighters and the flow of game-play are glorious, It is perfect to grab a quick game between other tasks, or to plug away at for a good few hours.

Special mention goes to the music, which I am devastated to see I can't access outside of the game to listen to while I am working.

All in all, this is so worth your time, or as a cheap fun gift for someone who needs some cheer.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough.

With the obvious provisio that it is not for everyone, much as with any such sandbox or sci fi offering; I can reliably state that Starmade is fast moving to be the premier creative space experience. Do not let poor imitations ensnare you with false promise.

There is so much to be found within the expansive community here : There are awesome builds, Roleplay, Politics and a game that is marching inexorably toward greatness. The graphics may seem simplistic compared to some other competitors, but that simply means that the canvas of your own creativity and scope can be all the more immense ; and it's still being developed with promises of more optional fidelity.

Starmade has been a large part of my life for near on four years now, and my enjoyment has not diminished, only grown.

Yeah, I'd say so, it's less than I spend on lunch by a factor of more than three.

This game is a work of art.

Alone it is a testament to a glorious concept carried through, take into account OVERKILL's post-release support and you have something truly grand. The extra weapons, masks, missions and heists keep coming and show no sign of abating any time soon, most serious updates are free, with only few ultimately cosmetic additions requiring a throw-down of cash; But even that is one I gladly make.

This game is bloody brilliant.

THere are only two buttons, it's minimalist, but it works so well, like guitar hero but with smashing people to bits.

It's cheap, its delightful, and I've played it longer than Thief so far, which downloaded around the same time.
