Nothing really new or exciting...

Sadly it put on a great show of being both of those things... journey to the Faewild! Victorian Era clothing and weapons!

It failed to deliver however anything worthwhile or lasting.

Just another Open World Survival Sandbox (with light questing) that fails to inspire a player base or compelling game play to keep you hooked.

Soon as you unlock your first couple of guns you will be just past the honeymoon period and realize its a boring game.

Not a good game.

The Jank is real on this title. Textures that float above the landscape (looking at you light and sign posts)

Combat is .... equally jank. There is a timed block system that sometimes works, and other times just decides naw, even if you time the block correctly.

This game feels extremly unfinished, and considering its been Abandoned by the devs and they are no longer working on the title id steer far clear of it.

There are the bones of potential in this title however, and you can SEE there is potential to be a good immersive game, but with player counts in the sub double digits most of the time (yes less then 10 people online world wide) you really cant get much done at all.

Either you can be good at fighting, or crafting.. not both. So you are either a fighter with gear that wont hold up to real combat... or you are a crafter without the skills to use the equipment you can make. Extra character slots cost money. This game also requires a subscription to actually progress your skills beyond 60 in any category.

I had 100 strength, 90 dex, and 90 con.... along with 60 swords skill, and 50ish in combat skills overall.

a single bandit, outside the main city was too much for me solo. Even with parry blocks and counter strikes his damage far FAR outpaced mine, even through the blocks (yes even if you perfect parry, you still take significant damage)

its not a solo player game, and is extremely unforgiving to a solo player... and because no one plays this game anymore, you only get to play solo.


So overall, its not worth your time or effort.

this game is GREAT!!

Yeah it can be a bit tough, but who wants an easy game that holds your hand and babies you?

The game is based on the Stalker universe, which is already a great start. All the voice acting is done in Russian with English Subtitles, which adds to the immersion IMO. The storyline is fun and if you actually do it like so many dont... you get a crap ton of REALLY powerful gear. Not the "best" gear perhaps no, but gear that will definitely put you on the map so to speak. Gear that will allow you to take down anyone you can get the drop on.

While speaking on gear, this game has a lot of gear options and playstyles. And gear is how they separate people. You wont see any Veterans dunking on newbs in this game, its literally impossible. There are 5 tiers of gearscore and once you pass a threshold, there's no going back. So right now Im currently at "Semi-Master" which is 4th tier, im very close to breaking into "Master" because of my gear and ability to kill players lol. I'll never see people who are below "Semi-Master" in the open world, nor they me, i can still see them in the hubs, but unless we group up, they wont see me. Grouping pulls people UP, not DOWN. So if a newbie grouped with me, he would be facing Semi-master players until we ungroup.

its a good system.

the PvP is fun and tense at times, you will be out doing your thing, and your little player counter will beep. Is it a friend or foe? Do you hide or hunt? Well that will be up to you.

All of this is to say, for a free title this game has a lot to offer in both PvE and PvP. Dont let the Cubic design push you away either, you really really forget about it completely once you start to play. Many of the armor designs make it almost impossible to see anyway.

What a great story game... Truly enthralling, every time you play it, it plays out different... well until you see every branching path i suppose.

I've went through the game about 6 times now... and each one was WILDLY different.

Totally worth the cost of admission on the story telling alone! Bravo devs!

Strange I never reviewed this game.

Its great. Casual Farming sim with some combat bits to break it up with.

Lots to do, lots to discover, tons of ways to play.


If you are looking for a Chill game to play... you found it.

Fun, Fast Paced, Action

Never have you felt more like a Starship Trooper then in this game.

Bugs invading your worlds? Automatons at your doorstep? The Helldivers are on their way!

Resupply is ready. Load up and deliver some Democracy!

this game has a serious problem with Power Creep and Oversaturation.

there is.... SOOOOO much to do... and that sounds awesome! and it is! until you realize how much you ACTUALLY have to do to even THINK about being competitive in the PvP scene... or even the End Game Raiding Scene.

if you go into this game thinking you are going to start raiding once you hit max level, you are dead wrong. You have a SERIOUS back log of quests, grinds, unlocks and things you have to chew through to catch up.

Its the biggest reason i stopped playing.

the game is Great, and its a lot of fun, but i cannot recommend it anymore unless you have no life, no responsibilities, and endless time to dump into the title. You will play this game, and ONLY this game.

Game was a lot of fun though, fond memories, both PvE and PvP. but to get to the point where I could even play either of those modes like i used too today... naw, i dont have that kind of time.

Its fun, its quirky, its a GREAT casual game that can burn an hour without effort.

totally worth the cost of entry!

A fun game if a bit rough around the edges.

Hopefully they keep on updating this, if they do it could be a real contender vs Dark and Darker.
