Endlessly replayable and addicting to the point where I'm getting worried.

I'm not joking: I might have to uninstall this soon due to how much its consuming my free time

Definitely buy this!! (But BEWARE)

PROS: You can play MTG whenever you want, Drafting, 1v1 EDH with less life total, Planeswalkers as Commanders if you want, and weird Alchemy BS: Historic Brawl! Now just called Brawl for some reason.

CONS: You have to play MTG Arena

If only we could combine the breadth of features of MTGO with the UI and speed of Arena. Unfortunately I don't think the powers that be will ever understand how profitable that could be to them.

Paper is king at the end of the day, go out to your LGS if you can!

A BotW-lite structured in bite sized mission chunks where the goal is to find DQ related treasure and upgrade you gang as much as possible! Once again Dragon Quest nails the casual yet addictive formula. It isn't rewriting the book on anything it's doing here, but I'll be damned if it isn't fun and cozy to play.

Metroidvanias aren't really a genre I do well with so buying this was a risk, but it was $6 bucks so ♥♥♥♥ it!

Blasphemous seems to take a much more open approach to it's world map than other games in the genre gating off not progression but mostly optional content and items. So with the tools you start with you can go where you want when you want to. Another thing I really appreciated was the placement of some of the more important powerups, with the item to make a level less of an obstacle usually found within the area itself instead of halfway across the giganto-maze-world! The areas standout from eachother and if you're a fan of the Souls game, grimdark, or Spanish Catholicism aesthetics you're gonna love this pixel art.

Only real negatives that stood out to me was teleporters for faster world travel seem few and far between, maybe a couple more sprinkled in would have made long treks back to levels less of a slog(although even then there's usually some side content or secrets you'll inevitably find along the way). Another thing I didn't like was how the free update content was added to the original game's map. This might be a niche problem since players who played day one wouldn't have experienced this, but the worst time I had with the game was entering the post-launch content area unbeknownst and getting my ♥♥♥♥ kicked in by a boss that was clearly meant for players more late game. In a game where you can tackle the available bosses in any order and still do decent damage to them regardless of where you are in the game this boss felt like a brick wall the game had promised never to construct. Another thing that came up a bit too often were odd bugs usually caused by colliding with an enemy while doing another action. I had bugs as annoying as not being able to jump, zooming down ladders 4x faster than possible, and even one where all of the breakable items on the levels turned invisible! Even with these complaints they were minor moments for me and only slightly fudged up my time with an otherwise fantastic game!

Whenever the world has got me down or a little high strung, I take a deep breath and play a game or two of Dorfromantik. It has a way of bringing me back down to Earth. There's some strategy, there's some progression, but don't sweat it, man! You're here to chill and build a cozy continent!

I'm pretty sure I play this game wrong and like a big ol dummy but damn those little bite-size random battles are just so fun! The UI and microtransactions intimidate me to the point where I'm terrified to engage with them so I think that's actually a plus. I wouldn't know what to buy even if I wanted to!

As long as I can blow people up from miles away while hiding in a bush I'm having a blast for the price of: free

Not sure what the ♥♥♥♥ I just played lmao but I think I liked it.

Bought this because I saw it had like 70+ items in the points shop or something huge like that and I thought the art style was neat. Played 20 minutes, got like 30 achievements.

After a tiny bit of research I guess this is based on a meme of some Russian version of Treasure Isle from the 80s. Alrighty!

I'm not sure if the controls are more than just WASD to move and the left mouse to shoot, the items you pick up may or may not be able to used whenever you want... seemingly when the game feels like it, oh also character speed seems to depend completely on the BPM of the soundtrack, which sounds very grimy and Slavic. Neat!

It's like a buck what have you got to lose?

Sleeper hit of 2023 for sure.

The gameplay loops are perfectly crafted to make you go "just one more haul" about a thousand times over. The exploration is thrilling due to the mix of extremely chill days and terrifying nights as you and your little boat putter about the map.

Someone somehow made a game that has blended the traveling from Wind Waker, the action mini games from Undertale, and the puzzle aspect of RE4's inventory into one of the best games of 2023. An achievement in it's own right given how messy that sounds on paper!

Looks like theres more content by way of DLC now. I have yet to play that.
