I can't believe after 2 and a bit years of being out the game still has such strange bugs. I was revived yesterday and I couldn't run because the game locked me to the initial revive movement speed, before it lets you get to full speed.

But damn, I still love it. And most of the time it does feel silky af :D

I build for China!

I gave a long speech to my friends about how I wasn't the impostor, piles of evidence, how the real impostor used the game mechanics to manipulate us. The real impostor said it was me and I was ejected... Soon after we lost the game.

10/10 would be ejected again

Please add an option to hide the server name in the pause menu, to prevent stream sniping.

Sometimes it feels a little clunky, but the game is a little old now. I love it, it continues to scare me every time I play it :D

Great game! Much to be improved on though.

I was browsing steam looking for a really good single player survival game with enemy AI (not just animals, but humans too) and I saw Subsistence. The game looked really decent in the trailers, I'm happy to say this game in my eyes is almost a perfect survival game. I just wish there were some additions and changes.

It's really fun. This game is great. There's always something to do in the world and the map isn't a bad size either. The fact there are AI Hunters in the world is amazing! I don't feel I'm the only person in the world now which is awesome!

The AI... is sub par. It's not bad, but it's not really good either. I often find myself frustrated with the annoying zig zag that all the AI do. The hunters for some reason run really fast left and right towards you before stopping and shooting you. This is really, really frustrating, especially when you end up dying from complete BS like this. All the animals do this too, so hunting Cougars is a pain when you need sinew.

This game needs weather. Snow and Rain dependent on the biome of course. And then collecting clean water from water collectors would be great when it rains too.

Crafting can be a bit tedious at times when it comes to gathering all the materials because I feel the spawn rate is way to low for certain items. Something I'd recommend is allowing the players to choose different spawn rates on a custom "Sandbox" mode. The Sandbox mode would allow you to alter the spawn rates of animals, plants etc.

Edit: Weather was added. You can also build rain collectors to gather extra water if you don't want to build near a lake or river. I don't know if I got better at the game but my current play through I seem to have many more resources which is great. Less of a tedious grind and much more fun now!

New suggestions: Maybe multiple maps to test peoples survival skills; a desert map maybe? Or perhaps purely a snow biome. AI still needs to be fixed. I can deal with the zig zag now but I can see new players becoming frustrated with it.
