Ignore the cry babies throwing a fit about half life 3. Dota is a great game. Yes the community can be VERY toxic, yes the peruvians will make you want a virtual wall, but the game itself is great. Every once in awhile you'll even meet people who aren't just angry little trolls and it will make the game that much better. No paying for heroes, and the things you do pay for are only cosmetic, it's not pay to win.

Grind is real, but VR helps make it feel less like grind.

I would also suggest using voice attack, especially in VR.
