The focus here is mainly on combat using a wide variety of attacks and combinations. A ton of QOL issues typical of ARPGs have been addressed. If you are new to the genre this is a good starting point. I have 1700 hours in Grim Dawn and played Diablo 1 and 2. Like many of already remarked this sits in between the two comfortably. If Grim Dawn had this engine and combat I would probably pass out.

Casual or hard it is your choice. Very good for any age of gamer. Worth the price if you take your time to enjoy it. Would not recommend blowing through the content. The journey is much better than the destination.

Fun to play and easy on the eyes. Not much depth at this point but HUGE potential down the road for this title to be in the top 3 of the genre. Polished to a tee.

A basic game with pretty graphics and a glacial pace. With so many better options in the genre I just cannot recommend this title. I did enjoy the 1 unique mechanic it has but not enough to continue.

A more graphically impressive fantasy based Brotato. Good stuff!

This game takes the #1 spot in the genre followed by Soul Stone Survivors and Vampire Survivors coming in third. Value for the money is off the chart.

Ticks almost every box in the genre. The time / money ratio is off the charts. This is an easy purchase.

I really liked Vampire Survivors. This game is better. Bought it and played for 20 hours. Yes I have ADHD.

December 2023 and Army of Ruin edges this out of the top spot to #2. Still a great value.

Easily the best game produced in the last 30 years that would appeal to anyone that enjoys co op and a solid game play loop. Try it out for yourself.
