So Far I only have close to an hour in But I am really liking this concept. I will post a full review with more time. But this looks to have some promise. I love this lost pirate theme. Obviously early access there are a few glaring things like the camera being a little quirky but the combat is different and fun. The Physics is a really cool fresh idea. I like the weight to your character and how they move about. The combat is strong and challenging yet well crafted. And the mix of crafting and item searching is just enough to make me want to really spend some time on this, this weekend. Excited to see what this has in store. Really digging the art work as well. Great work.

Interesting story, fun detective elements. enjoyable strategy fighting, and whats awesome I discovered is crossplay. My son likes to play on my steam account so when I couldn't get on because steam wont let mutiple games be played at once (still cant figure out why this day in age with families playing games) I loaded up GOG and was able to pick up where I left off. Wish more games shared the save folder and allowed for this. Rather than moving folders around and such. But love the atmosphere here and with the DLSS graphics are amazing. Compared AMD and Nvidia and Nvidia wins here. Looks absolutely phenomenal. I just enjoy these slower paced games where you can enjoy the environment and learn the lore through little clues around the map and this has all of that along with some super cool character models. Looking forward to spending more time on this surprise gem. Not sure if this review is much help this time around, but I say give it a go. We need more surprises like this and Solium Infernum that have a lot of passion from the developers, where you can feel they really put their heart and soul into these games and created something special. Triple A games are great and all but I love the smaller titles that blow you away with something in between all the carbon copies out there.

I want to say I love this game because there are some really great elements. But there are some god awful broken elements that keep me from doing so. Sadly I spent so much money on this game. Two copies and and lots of skins but after 153 hours its busted. I am so sick of being kicked from the game only to lose things I worked hard for. 3 times I beat the girl on the tower and was booted from the game while getting a gun that only drops from there. When you leave you lose everything you have. I dont play fortnite for a reason and well MW 3 recreated that experience. They are so worried about people duplicating items and glitching the game that you almost need to glitch the game to balance the game out to be fair. Honestly spending hundreds of hours to get the right stuff in zombies to be able to play the higher level content is a waste of time because by that time you are sick of the game. Seriously after all these years you think this stuff would be worked out. And while they have learned to add more content and make the game have more depth they are slapping it together and not really putting thought into it. Cheating has wrecked all MP games now days. Its either unfair and you die all the time or the devs make it so you get screwed left and right trying to play the game. Either way this game has booted me out and stolen my stuff for the last time. If its not fixed in season 2 I wont be buying another COD game. And I have been playing since the original XBOX I keep quitting every year and someone pulls me back in. But seriously I am at the end of the rope with these developers. Figure it out already. This is not your first game and on top of that its a reskin year over year for the MP so working on things like story and zombies should not be that difficult to get right. The ideas are there now just make them work. If you lose connection because of your server let the player keep there stuff, other games do. And if they are duplicating it SO WHAT. You can only stash so much anyway its not like its going to break the game. And hell I have seen more players work together and help one another in glitches than I have ever seen in games like Destiny and such so stop worrying about it. And worry about making it stable first and foremost. My god I cant even believe this is what were talking about on COD. Yes I agree these should be reviews and not a place to express gripes but gripes are the game in this case. There isnt anything to talk about unless the game runs and lets you play . So figure that out and I will review the game.

Ok so let me start by saying played this game once and died immediately once I landed by a bob cat and was ok screw this. Reason I share this story is because now it's probably one of my favorite open world survival games of all time. The same thing happened to me on dark souls. Moral of the story sometimes you gotta put it down to pick it back up. And well now I have 40 hours in the game and can't get enough. The amazing incremental upgrades you get is similar to subnautica and you keep trying to get a little further for the next upgrade. Seeing what the end result can be, drives you to keep farming and farming and upgrading to build better and more stuff to get further and so on. Starting with nothing but fiber to crossbows to rifles to a combat ready soldier is such a great premise. Then unlike other cheap open world games there are missions to claim from the higher ups that challenge you and reward you with currency that allows you to buy more safisticated weapons and tools. But add some depth to the monotony of crafting and farming . Then there are battle strategy missions for much later that really let you test out your weapons and equipment by yourself or with friends. Or you can leave and go to another much more challenging biome and do it all over again taking the knowledge you learned to jump in and try something harder. There is so much to love here. And this is not a cheap clone of ark or any of the other well known titles this is a well crafted game with excellent mechanics. Imagine subnautica and the forest got married and then brought some friends into the bedroom and had a baby but got all the best chromosomes and this was born . And if you still aren't sold they are continuing to work on the game and improve more stuff, as well as dlc add ons that add so much more content. It's worth every penny of your money and while I thought by the reviews and my first experience, I struck out in thinking this was a good title coming. And boy was I wrong. It's better than I ever thought. Just go buy it and spend a an hour learning the game set the difficulty down a bit to get a feel then jump in you will not be sorry. Disclaimer if you like open world survival games . I am always looking for the next great one to play and this satisfied that itch for me.

More people need to play this game they are missing out if they have any interest in tactical games. This was masterfully done. I have been playing since it was early early access and it has grown to be one of my favorite games. It is such a sleeper hit with amazing lore and awesome gameplay mechanics. Definitely give this a try and tell a friend it deserves more recognition then I currently has .

Ok this is an early review for early access. I played the demo for a bit and now the launch. To me this is what early access is for. A lesser expensive game with feedback for the development as us as players are helping turn this into a great game. So far it's pretty bare bones. But still is a lot of fun and what you would expect from this type game. I played dead poly and althought I thought it was cool the controls were clunky and not very enjoyable. This has much better controls and has much room for improvement . It doesn't appear to be a day before situation and the polygon graphics always sucks me in . So far it's fun to run around and see what you can scavenge off the bodies and try to build some cool stuff. There is some threat from the zombies but again definitely can be better. For 15.00 right now this is definitely worth it and will get some enjoyable time spent on it. With the excitement for what's to come. The genre is right up my alley and look forward to what this can become. Has other companies done it. Yes. And there are some very similar games right down to the graphics and outline. But they never really got off the ground and seem to be dead in the water. There is one out there that I rather enjoy drive 4 survival. Even still seems to be something missing so I am hoping and praying this one closes that gap and takes it to the end. So if you got 15 bucks to throw at yet another survival open world game. Grab this. It's a good time time that could end up being great. I am hoping the devs are ready to take the feedback and keep working to make this a memorable game.

But the update has blown the doors off the building. This thing is a master piece. There are not many games that stick with you after you play them or finish a mission. I can only think of a small handful. But Phantom liberty was definitely one of them. And there are great small missions around the game that are excellent as well and the great thing is depending on your choices you are not sure how they will play out. You might think your selecting the right choice for the outcome you want but you would be wrong. So best bet is just go with your gut sit back and enjoy. I am not gonna go into all the great things many people have talked about. I am sure by this time you have researched , or heard of it and know what it has to offer. What I am here to tell you, is there are a small amount of games this good and when carefully selecting on what you spend your hard earned money on. This is one your going to want to have. Not only is the game great and the story is fantastic. You go on to play with mods and adds a whole other level to the game. If your like me and felt like red dead was a world you were living in while playing it. Night city is that polar opposite world. But you will be living it here as well. Get the game get the expansion you wont be disappointed. Its one of those Metal gear, final fantasy gears of war, death stranding type games that only comes along once in a great while.

As usual I need to jump in when the steam bashers are at work. This game is excellent hence why it has one of the highest player counts. Receiving a lower score than fallout 76 clearly reviews are no reflection of the quality or creativity of the game only people wanting to have their voice heard in some self serving narcissistic tendency. I am not referring to the people who genuinely don't like . That's fair and to each their own. But to give a not recommended or bad review because one time your dlc didn't work on day one and now you bash every game Bethesda releases or because they signed exclusively with Xbox. You bash there current masterpiece. Now that I am done on my soap box.

The game is something you can invest hundred of hours in like Skyrim and oblivion.
Graphics are some of the best i have seen. When going back and playing cyberpunk at ultra settings I can say this actually looks better. And cyberpunk is excellent in the graphical dept but starfield just looks cleaner and more realistic in many ways.
Gameplay is exactly what I love in a game and what brought me to fallout 3 all the years ago as well as oblivion. Oblivion was one of the first games I sunk hundreds of hours into, same with fallout. And when that got old I jumped into mods. That option is here as well. But looking for the next cool drop or next upgrade or next ship is a blast. Exploring each planet and finding a new corner I have not explored yet can pay off or be a waste of time. But the unknown is what draws me.
The story. Well like most of these games they can be all over the place depending on if you stay on the quest or keep getting side tracked. They all seem to have an interesting plot in there own way. Similar to red dead 2 . You might find a a miner having trouble with pirates or someone who needs a satellite installed or maybe an abandon ship they heard had some good loot. Regardless you can chose to do these or skip around. Either way there is plenty to do or not to do.
Performance. Yeah occasional bugs like a chest floating in air or a pirate who is dead still standing there. But it's nothing we haven't seen in other Bethesda games. And it's pretty far and few between not ruining the experience. I can never get enough of a low gravity planet causing a pirate to go flying in the air after head shotting him. But again there is nothing here game breaking or even worth resetting. Except one the nagging obstruction not allowing you to use a terminal all the time forcing a reload of a save. This needs to be fixed. But that is only when having to use a terminal and isn't something your doing that often.
Verdict . I always says scores should be based on the innovativeness of the game as well as other factors . But games that come along and do something interesting and fun that we don't get from any other game are worthy of higher scores. And while there is a lot of fallout, oblivion and other Bethesda works in here. There is a lot of new interesting things that make it feel like this is how far they have come . Not a mishmash but a collection of there best stuff and some new toys to keep it fresh. The lock picking for one is the best i have seen. The over encumbrance feature is now set to make it difficult to move when over encumbered rather than impossible so you are not forced to leave stuff behind but you will have a more difficult time transporting it. This is great for someone like me who collects too much. All in all this game is great and if you have enjoyed any of the other games mentioned you will absolutely enjoy this one and to get a lower score that fallout 76 is just complainers expressing their frustration out on this particular game. Because it is deserving of at least an 8 maybe even 9 so I give it an 8.5

Anyone that give this a bad review should have their account taken away. This is probably the best free game I have played not including Destiny style free game while though free require money spent. The creation of items in this game is endless and you start with nothing only to evolve to a full commerce and thriving city, with cars boats etc. Graphics are the typical polygon cell shading style graphics which I love. The controls are good, controller could use some work but keyboard and mouse works fine. It feels a lot like discovering minecraft for the first time but with a oceanhorn/zelda feel to it. It honestly feels like the crafting could go on forever. I have only played for a short time on this acct but have seen more of the game on another account. So I have experienced enough to see this has a long term play-ability and for the price admission is well worth it. Now there are micro transactions, which I am fine with them making money none of which are intrusive. I had to go looking for them. And there are things like shared servers/ cloud saving space and cosmetics that can be purchased at a reasonable amount. You would not need to buy anything but I recommend doing so to support this hard work that went into the game. Honestly nothing here has been done that hasnt been done before but not all together like this and that works so well. There isnt really much to go on and on about and lets be honest most people have checked out by now. You know what this is, if your a fan of these games. This is definitely one worth checking out.
