I haven't had a game draw me in like this one in a very long time. Short but beautifully executed.

A fantastic combination of excellent exploration, great story, killer soundtrack and butt clenching fear.

Fast as hell and hard as nails. The game has great style mixing parkour, abilities and fast retries you get in a game like Hotline Miami. Very well polished, I played this while waiting for Cyberpunk to get patched.

Quite possibly the most balanced and most fun fighting game I've ever played. Every character is based on an actual fighting style (Karate, Sambo, MMA, Wing Chun.....bear) with enough craziness thrown in. The core of the game revolves around spacing, neutral and reads like a good fighting game should. The netcode, while delay based is solid and good matches are easy to find as the community is thriving.

A massive open world where you spend endless amounts of time traversing from objective to objective. No life to the world you're in. It all feels like an updated version of The Division.

An odd derivation of the Left 4 Dead formula, Payday 2 is about teamwork and dealing with things going wrong. And a whole lot of things can go wrong.

Based on high intensity heist movies like Heat, The Town and Point Break you take up the mask of a career criminal looking to make a living. You'll rob stores, banks, armored cars, museums and much more with a few very creative heists thrown in the mix. The game is considerably harder than it's Left 4 Dead cousin in connection to how many things can go wrong. Team members will be spotted on camera, drills will jam, deals will go bad and cops will give chase all in the name of fun. Stealth does exist in the game and robbing a bank without firing a shot is possible if and only if you have a team that pays attention and knows what they're doing.

After you get over the initial shock of how this game does not spoon feed you victories to make you feel good about yourself you'll feel great each time all of you make it to the getaway van. Success grants you money to your offshore account, part of which gets laundered to be spent of new guns, mask, upgrades skills and more. The game's developers are wonderfully responsive and continually work to grow the game.

Suit up, mask on and bring some friends. This is the best 4-player co-op game since Borderlands 2.

I really, really wanted to love this game but instead I could only like it.

Post apocalyptic shooting with vehicles and open world elements from the people that made Quake, sounds fantastic right? That's until you actually start playing. You're dropping into the world with the barest amount of exposition and rescued by John Goodman who within five minutes of meeting you, gives you a gun and asks you to wipe out a gang. Vehicles don't exist beyond mini-games and the odd moments where you need to traverse relatively short distances to mission "dungeons."

You ultimately join the rag tag group known as "The Resistance" who fights against the tyrannical "Authority" (honestly guys, hire a writer and come up with better names) in the most cliched manner possible. The game does have it's standouts. The gunplay feels good, the animation is excellent and blowing up other cars is enjoyable. The characters are very well constructed and they make you want to just sit and talk with them but instead are used as one-shot interactions. John Goodman's character disappears after the first hour of the game.

The game was unfortunately not everything I wanted it to be but it was still an enjoyable experience.
Get it for $5 if you have a rainy weekend.

Total sleeper hit. The best discription I can give is Zelda style dungeons with God of War quality combat and a Heavy Metal atmosphere. YOU MUST PLAY WITH A GAMEPAD. THE GAME SUCKS WITHOUT ONE.

This game is a better successor to Diablo II than Diablo III. Creative guns, fun abilities and cool talents all wrapped up in a story with hilarious writing.

NOTE: This game is designed to be played with friends. You can do it solo but its not nearly as great.

Hundreds of players, massive battlefields, persistent warfare. What's not to love?
