So first off. I have not played a lot of assault squad 2 and never touched gates of hell. So Im just judging this on its own pros and cons. I have played the entire tutorial so far and some pve and battallion crafting.

I gotta say, it is pretty good. Nothing much to complain about. There is some UI things I would like to be different. Like some more clearity or hover over explanations when you are checking units in the browser for example. The game is pretty fast paced, so dont expect to "enjoy" a lot of war theatre between your actions. You will be doing things the entire time through out the match. But when the things go just as planned, it does feel like RTS.

This is why Im giving this an overall pass. Id like for this game to be a bit cheaper. That being said Im mainly playing multiplayer only. Im not a campaign guy. But I see that there is a lot of content, so the price seems to be warranted as of now.

Looking forward to the future development.
