Dota 2 Basic Skills

Every Dota player must know each of this basic skills that are not taught in the training. Learning these skills will make you play well and perform better in game. Keep reading and practice all these skills.

Solo Strategy: Roam & Hunt

To prevent enemy carry getting fat (well farmed), occasionally you can roam and hunt for the enemies. Take note that your hero is able to escape if the enemies know you hunting them. Getting killed is not an option in Dota. ;)

Tip: Roshan

Roshan is available since the game starts. When Roshan has been killed, it take time about 10 minutes to respawn. Roshan will drop Cheese, that can instantly give you 2500 hp and 1000 mana when the Roshan respawn for the

Tip: Stay Higher Place

Attacking from lower ground give you 25% miss chance whether attacking the creeps or heroes. Also, your will not have vision to higher ground unless there are units there.

Tip: Escaping

Once your HP low, probably you will run away and head base. Sometimes, heading back is not a good option.

When you think you no longer in attack and you think you able to help your team mates, just do so. It may change the whole game.

Get back and help your team. This is your chance to get some kill. Be careful though, your HP is low, even a single blow could kill you. Do this if you sure you can survive or escape if they trying to gank you again.

You can save time and gain more exp and gold. If you can't enter the fight, just stay near to get additional experience from enemy if they got killed
