Looking back is blinding -
With the six note tune of the organ on a constant loop, the first note always being struck harder than the rest, I can't help but imagine that every loop of the instrument is a pained step forward. Like walking along the tops of the trains as it races ahead into the horizon, each step becoming more difficult than the last as you march for hundreds, possibly millions of miles. There's no end in sight, but you know that there has to be one. You've come too far to turn back around, so with each step you march onwards. You can't look back, it's impossible. Because seeing how far you've come and there still being no end in sight, it would be blinding.
