Raft, a rather unqiue survival game. You start off on a raft following the stream of garbage as you progress you are building your own little Kon Tiki. With your Kon Tiki you explore tropical island to get more rare resources so you can make more modern tools to help you explore

Right now the game is moving a long in the right direction in Early Access. You will have an enjoyable experience but with a short logevity as it doesn't take long to progress and little to see. A lot like another EA title 7DtD, but if the team is dedicated like the devs of the aformentioned game it would become a gem long before it is released

Shroud of the Avatar : Forsaken Virtues - changing the original idea for the game and adding P2W mechanics in a game were you buy the intitial game. Now how game breaking this feature will be, who knows...

The game as is has potential but as it is in current state it is just that a game with potential, were either the developers are either running out of funding or looking for more way to monetize the game. Where it lead to deal breaking features as this current P2W feature being introduced late - it looks dark for this potential one diamond in the rough, but as right now it is just a lump of coal.

Thrilling story, great story telling , exceptional music. Fun to play even for an adventure game inept like me.

The hint mechanism is useless in my personal opinion, rather just listen to the old guy talk and you get all you need to advance. As for the gamepaly itself is seemless overall sometimes a bit clunky but all in all for the few hours I played it sucked me in.

AI & UI
The AI is so bad in this game, It is hard to recommend this game with a straight face. Even 3 months after release the AI is a joke on legendary! Which they spent quite a bit of time hyping up before the release of the game and went over the intelligent decision it would make, I've yet to see any such thing..

The UI is simplified and seem optimized for consoles - making the UI less intuitive to use on a PC and more click instense overall. Was this done for STEAM OS or potential console release?

New mechanics that could be great, but are terrible
-Your generals now collect collectibles (aka henchmen/retainers) playing the game and their child inherits, making them an ever expanding collectible collection - it is an interesting addition that is poorly exectued as it turns into a bag of tricks..

-Regions, great idea.. specialized region but there is a catch, as it should be , but not like this! The upgrades cost so much food it become an annoyance over the added benefit -as of hapiness it is never an issue unless you are unable to read. So all it is a management of food. Which boils down to modifier of -2 consumed vs +3 produced... Herpa Derpa

There is so many things that if they were done right would have made it great, yet they somehow make any new addition nice for 5 mins and tedious for rest of the game all accross the board.

Conclusion
All in all if they fix mechanics and the AI it would be a solid game, but the management of Creative Assembly are tuning their games for metacritic and reviewers these days - hence I would not expect this to change in the future .

So overall buy a strategy game from another producer and don't preorder any of their games in immediate future. Maybe and a big maybe they might actually make games for strategy gamers again eventually.
