A beautiful game which I can't bring myself to play again, especially not after she left, she recommended this to me. I've been digging ever since but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, i know the feeling, it's happened before, but this seems like the biggest hole i've ever dug and i can't find the other side, i'll keep digging because that's the only choice apart from giving up, but sometimes it's hard to have hope, playing this in a comeup and reminiscing about it after a downfall brings me back, i can't deny things have been getting better, but i have no patience for it anymore, i just need to keep digging, keep digging.

why? i just wish i understood it better. no philosophy will ever prepare you for the real deal, though it's better than nothing when it comes to rebuilding.

harsh but beautiful

I wanna hug the person who made this. I have recurrent major depressive disorder and i can't express how close to home this hits for me, i'm just coming off a year-long cycle of severe depressive episodes after being dumped by my ex-fianceé, tbh i'm scared that it might not be the case, i thought i was coming off it several times before, but this time feels different, conviction and less self-loathing i suppose. This feels like a game i would write, so many lines i've told myself, so many obvious lies that i chose to believe anyway, blaming and punishing myself for things that weren't my fault, not standing up for my beliefs against myself, my biggest judge and executioner. It's cathartic to relate to people who have been through similar things, it's painful, but healing always is, keep going, you will see a reason, your perception is clouded but eventually you will see.

Basically exactly what it seems, Men of War with first person direct control in a modern setting (or WW2 with the DLC and mods), I really like the advanced direct control, especially in hardcore mode, good stuff.

A beautiful game, an artistic expression of 4 people including the composer of the great soundtrack. This game resonated with me in ways very few have, it depicts loss, grief and the process of moving on in a way that only people who have been through it can understand, I'm at a loss for words for how this game has touched me.
Lost in an uncaring world we have to seek hope and meaning, a place for ourselves, who, when and where we are and wish to be. Themes I've been writing poems and lyrics about a lot recently, dealing with such a loss currently, with such a cynical and uncaring world, yet never giving up on my conviction and my hope. This is a work of art, true artistic expression, and it's beautiful.
It's time to go, it always is, we can't afford the time not to.

Gameplay is fun but not really special to me, more interesting to me than CoH and such but not by much.
The setting and plot are pretty engaging to me, I'm definitely looking forward to a possible Togawa Shogunate DLC.

This is so much more than i expected

Great world-building, all the little things come together to make this a very special and immersive experience.

COOL IT

the only downside to this game is that there is no easy mode for us noobs to enjoy the amazing plot, i learned how to read laotian pictograms just to understand the game and it was worth it, 10/10 great plot, graphics and sound design, i love the 5 second loop music in the menu. a warning though, it contains a lot of nudity which subtracts from the amazing plot, it's still worth it though.
