I've been playing for awhile now and I've come to a realization.

They say life is like a box of chocolates, but you can shove that dog and pony show right up your ass. The truth is life is a 20-piece Chicken McNugget Meal. Tastes good at first. All you want is more. Not long after, it's cold, spongy, and each time you open the box, there's another one missing. 19, 18, 17... until one day, all that's left is an empty chicken container that smells like regret. THAT'S life.

Each like will send an e-mail directly to Yoshi-P asking for him to return "HOW VERY GLIB"

I like to buy new roguelike bullet hells as they come out and this had some striking graphics and a low price so it was an easy choice.

I got really high after getting home from work and booted it up. The computer style descriptions of the upgrade system melted my brain. Killed the space bunny and then ended up dying right before I killed the second boss.

I completely forgot there were other aspects of the game other than rootin' tootin' shootin' so when I selected to check out the memories, it definitely grabbed my attention. I NEEDED MORE! I spent my skill points and jumped back in... bout 2 minutes in the game froze for a second and then went to an all gray/dark gray memory scene. It was now completely frozen, I couldn't even open the task manager. I had to restart my entire computer.

I know I'm just saying this because I'm high, but having my computer glitch the ♥♥♥♥ out and become frozen right then somehow made the experience even more immersive.

10/10 if you like this genre, easy buy

Early Access Review
Mobile Phone Melvor Idle copycat game put onto Steam with pay-to-win options and many things locked behind premium memberships.

Just buy Melvor Idle since you'd have to spend money on this to do half the crap anyway.

Too nostalgic, made me tear up. I'm a big softie, though. As someone who graduated in 2003, it felt like I was back in time. I'd say it's at least worth a playthrough for anyone who lived through the AIM age.

As this stands, I cannot recommend it. This is yet another instance of a game being released while it's still horribly unoptimized. 30 fps, laggy and jankity screen moment even on a good PC.. that's unforgiveable as far as a remake goes. It just looks like trash. I got it to stream it and play through it with some friends, but it's just not worth it, people will get seizures from watching it.

The sprites are hit and miss... Bartz/Butz/Dude's sprite looks like he's puffing out his chest beyond what humans are capable of, but ones like Lenna's look alright. The character portraits are Amano, but as per usual they don't look like the characters at all.. so that's up to you whether it's cool or not.

Tileset is a friggin' mess. Considering there are games out there made in RPG maker that have a smoother set than this says leagues. The majority of tiles don't blend together, and look like they are all mashed together.

My major battle complaint is that you can't just hold down the attack key.. you have to push it every time. Not a big deal, but why would they take this function out in a remake? Did they not play the old one? When older RPGs get re-released, they typically have things to speed up the game, not slow them down. It's really just nitpicking, but it slows down things considerably.

I wish I could say I recommend this, but I can't. Not unless they patch it. Pass unless you read about a lot of patch notes! I'm tired of getting burned for pre-ordering PC games.

Short, but sweet. It's definitely meant to be played with 3 other friends, locally... so quit being antisocial and have some fun! The art, story, and music are all quite nice. What else could you want from a text adventure?

It has enough replayability and multiplayer goodness to be worth the full price, but I imagine a lot of people will play this by themselves and be upset by the length. For those people, wait for it to be on sale!
