Have been playing this again - just so much fun; perfectly paced, brilliantly evokes the feelings I had for the originals and is possibly the most fun I've had with an FPS.

A superb, linear single-player story with incredible atmosphere an some genuinely unsettling moments achieved through great sound-design and visual effects.

My one gripe is the combat, specifically issues with dodging. It would have been good to be able to release the lock on all enemies and allow you to move around a little more freely. Dodging issues aside, everything else about the combat felt really kinetic - especially in the later encouters.

I've seen people say that it's short, and that there is no replay value - for me, that's a positive - I feel as though they have put everything into making it a solid experience, which for me is value for money.

Remember: Value for money is not the same as cheap. If that's the type of thing to rustle your jimmies though, then I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up in the Winter Sale.

Obviously fake internet point-whoring for a silly badge (and clearly not the only one), but this is such a beautiful, enchanting little game.

Slick animation, great character, captivating soundtrack - it has it all.
