thumbs up only at the low price point as a lite 15 min time fill.
Otherwise it's a bit basic for billiards shooting with no spin control. It can be hard to predict exactly where your ball will wind up with no spin knowledge. As best as i can tell spin is determined by power. Full power is forward spin to chase a ball, half power is back spin for a full stop on contact. And due to the nature of needing to use full/much power for any shot that must travel enough distance and impart enough energy to the target ball. You just will chase it into the hole with regularity. While in reality you would still power hit, but ensure to provide back spin so you won't chase the target ball into the pocket. It is frustrating to know the only way to sink a ball is to sacrifice sink the cue ball too. Because of the fixed forward spin of the cue ball. So $6 max makes this an ok buy, if you're good for so lite a system.

too many RNG aspects = random difficulty game.
did you get lots of good traits or bad traits? some bad traits are way worse than others, like lazy compared to pessimistic.

We're backwards in time on evolution here, GOLDBOX RNG anyone, cause re-rolling RNG stats before you play the game, until you get something worth working with, is so much fun right?
Nothing says fun times like your player agency taking a backseat to the RNG.

A controlled RNG setup that did random setups, but on a point value system so they all stayed equally challenging would be fine.
But letting a player start with basically far far worse traits or far far better ones, is just an RNG of difficulty, and you know that's not a reasonable "feature" to add to any game.
Beginner, vet or nightmare mode? No control for you, that's RNG decided, start a game and hope it is not harder or easier than you have fun with.

That's not a reasonable game trait, and having so wide a swing as to be the goldbox days of you can roll all 3s or all 18s, is really lame backwards devolving deigns.
Same reason i want to like but can't stand oxygen not included. The RNG traits of the people and the worlds is just a massive wide swing RNG difficulty range, and I don't find that to be reasonable.

Depends on how "hardcore" you are. I find the game's advancement, assumes players will make a 2nd job of the game and be playing at a "professional" level if they expect to make decent earnings or even complete on higher level difficulties. Which are required to play for in game advancement past a certain point. HD2 is fun up to point, then it is just too much demand, it becomes work not pass time entertainment.

Too much RNG junk, there is no meaningful skill/test in this game, it's just a slot machine that you have to put a lot of effort in to pull the handle on. Everything is RNG.
base game is, Draw RNG, upgrade options RNG, application of many upgrade options RNG, and every 3rd round an RNG event that overrides any effort you put in. The RNG junk may come up bad and you can't win. Like the RNG rule will be, the first hand you play is now the only hand type you can play. So if the draw RNG only gets you a pair for the first, you will be unable to win. If you manage a strong hand, also likely can't win now as only that hand type can score points, and your odds of seeing enough of those hands will again be too low, and mitigates any effort you put in on building a good deck/knowing how to play the odds.

If you like RNG outcomes, this game will be way too much effort demand on the player to get to the next RNG event of consequence.
If you like skill tests of some kind, this one ain't one. It is just craps table/slot machine RNG outcomes, with little to no meaningful player agency in those outcomes.

Refunded

IF working your deck was not random, maybe, but if you get good synergy cards or not is just RNG here. Your choices are as good as they are allowed to be, which can just be RNG junk.
IF every 3rd game was not an RNG event that mitigates any effort the player put to passing the level as a lotto draw. Again maybe tons batter.

But between the RNG draw, the RNG upgrades, RNG application of upgrades, and the 3rd rounds RNG crazy power. It is so much RNG, it is just an illusion that your choices matter that much. Your just pulling a really complicated slot machine handle to see what happens.

100% pure RNG outcomes is the deal hear. Levels where everything is invisible. Not even the initial shot direction is a skill you can consistently apply to the game. just play slot machines, or pick random numbers on a d100 roll, if this is your kind of thing.

I know this game has 'controller not supported" on it. But i am using a logitech f310 in xmode and it works fine as is no special drivers or apps needed. Great little gem of a game here, don't let it pass you by. It's not earth shattering or anything real different. But it is a good example of the genre and fun to play.

Default settings ARE CLASSIC GRINRDY TIME. But if you reduce these to reasonable solo/small privet group play. It also just amounts to reducing the entire game's play by so much, it becomes clear, grindy time is a core mechanic for this game. Playing as a solo/privet group, that's not running a 24/7/365 up server. Maybe 20% or so of the game's systems become pointless too. As they are: player offline but server still up game systems. Ticking timers for minions bringing in resources. But only real value is when the server is up and you are off. The costs to send them on the risk trip is only worth while if they are adding resources to the pool when you could not be. If you run the server only when you play, your in game time is better spent not spending resources on minions at all. Just dump that directly into advancement, and ignore the minion system.
And you see a substantial % of what was paid for here is now pointless, unless you are playing PvP in a 24/7 up time server.

So for true online PvP play, you might like it, it might do that right for you.
For any version of playing "offline" only running the server when you play. This is not likely a good game.

Basically kinda lame all around in terms of "story" and zero rp to be had. Repetitive yawn fest.
but more importantly.
On Paradisio you can only pay for the grav drive, or indenture the colonists.
There is no persuasion option for this "diplomatic" mission of any kind. Nor can you kill the board members and steal the grav drive. In fact the board members are immortal.
Stopped playing right there.
Then with not a lot better to do i dumped more time in to see what there was to see. Not a lot more to add. I've had to work fairly hard to get my time value for the cost, relative to other titles from the name we were sold here. Some rel on rails shallow kitchen sink mechanics gumbo. I ignored all crafting, which meant i got to ignore all research too. No problems, the looter shooter nature of the game on its own left me a glut of choice. Scopes, boosts, stealth needs and all no time sink on materials gathering to research stuff to craft to craft stuff in any of the logged time there.
Also maybe 20% or more of that time is me AFK for anything else slightly more interesting to be involved in.
And what another 3-5% watching doors open and 2-4% watching my ship go somewhere?
