Masterpieces aren't always perfect but they are often controversial.

Many are put off by it's gameplay but I feel this game will stand the test of time.

Every element of it's design is meant for you to get out of your comfort zone and use every piece of the buffalo to be successful. I love how this game engages you in combat. You have to face them head on to win. Just rolling with the punches and adapting on the fly, taking any opportunity you can do whittle them down.

The puzzle combat is very satisfying. It feels really good when you can lock down a boss or clear an entire room without them getting a turn. It rarely feels like you are put in a bad spot and there is usually a way out which each turn.

Music is phenomenal.

Recommend.

Frusteration at it's funniest.

Best played with friends, either in the room or online.

Constantly updated with new features, well worth the price.

It's a solid beat em up that is a love letter to the genre.
Combat is very satisfying, especially when you can chain attacks.
Branching paths help keep things interesting. BTW bosses missed will come back later in the game, which is pretty neat.
I like how the special attack can be used offensively(part of a combo), or used defensively (stopping an enemy combo).

However, the last two levels are a slog to get through. It will wear you down as there is no saving of progress inbetween levels.

This game has a surreal blend of absurdity and somberness to it.
The presentation is just a wonderful type of crazy. The music, the characters, the dark humor, it all melds together nicely without feeling too over the top or forceful.

It plays out much like an RPG (stats, equipment, turn based). However, with Brad (and a few others), you can create combos that lead into special attacks for even more damage. The combo system is fun. And having characters that gain mana everytime they attack is also an interesting take on the genre. Random encounters are rare, which is nice. GoIng back to old areas, usually mean it's enemy free.

The game features a robust amount of characters you can recruit into your party. They are alll pretty varied amongst themselves.
And the choices, my God, they don't get easier as you progress.

Be prepared to lose teammates. Accept that some will die. Because that's what this game is about. The acceptance of loss.

Terry rocks. (Not really)(Ok he kinds does)(But not really...)
