I was looking forward to this visual novel since the theme sounded intriguing and I always hope games with female protagonists not to be crappy. I was disappointed.

The text is full of typos and bad grammar and the story is so irritatingly naive and mediocre at best. The characters lack depth and the full potential of the premise is never explored to its fullest.

I know Invisible Apartment is only a freebie to lure people in to buy the other games in the series – but sadly, it doesn't do its job very well and didn't leave me wanting for more. Or perhaps it's only because it's targeted to a younger audience, people in their late teens might find this better suited to their tastes.

Then again, the game is free and very short, so you're not gonna lose much to try it. At least the art is okayish?

My opinion: approach with caution and don't expect a masterpiece.

I would highly recommend Mainland for anyone who enjoys text-based games and/or Choose Your Own Adventure books.

While the text itself has a few typos and grammar errors here and there I enjoyed the story itself very much. The piano pieces support the mood well, though I found it a bit distracting that the music wasn't there all the time nor was it (or other audio) looped properly. The visuals – what little there is, mostly just the background texture – are a nice touch, a cherry on top of a delicious cake.

Overall: Mainland is a nicely designed game and the text includes all the hints you need to progress without being too obvious but not too cryptic to get stuck either. No reason not to play it if you're into this genre since it's free and only takes 2-3 hours to complete.

If you love point 'n click adventures there is no excuse not to play this game. Beautiful art, varied puzzles and robots – what's not to love?

(And if you fail at puzzles, there's a built-in guide with the answers, accessible by beating a short shooter minigame each time you want to take a peek.)

This game forces you to make some really painful decisions unlike most games. The story is so well-written and keeps you in its grasp the whole time. Bonus points for varied and interesting characters. The controls are sometimes weird and I was confused in a few places as to how to proceed, but overall no huge complaints.

Also, zombies. Who doesn't love zombies?

There is no excuse for anyone not to play this. Just buy it. Now.

I recommend this for anyone who loves puzzles, mysteries and a good dose of humor. The puzzles are surprisingly varied and test not only your memory and deduction skills but also math skills and the size of your English vocabulary, amongst other skills. While not probably worth the full price, get it when it's on sale and you'll get your money's worth of fun times.

A worthwhile investment in case you happen to find this on sale. Best enjoyed every now and then in short bursts for relaxation.

Best value for my money I've had for a long time. I've seen this game on sale for 80 cents and I've spent dozens of hours on it - and will spend lots more. If you need a time waster and are grown tired of the regular solitaire, I recommend you try it out.

Dungeon Defenders is not a perfect game, as it's got some balance issues that make the Apprentice practically the only viable choice for solo play. DD is however good fun for co-op sessions, it's visually extremely pretty and map design is pleasantly diverse and also challenging at times. I recommend getting this at the discount price.

There's no excuse for any RTS lover not to own this. It's fun, it's challenging, and it's unique. It's awesome. Buy it.
