Virginia offers cinematic experience with beautiful visuals and soundtrack while leaving a lot of the unanswered questions tampering with your mind.

Pros:

  • Appealing visual and audio design
  • Incredible soundtrack that works very well with silent protagonist and the theme of the game
  • Long enough to not overstay its welcome and short enough to keep your attention for a little while
  • Movie-like experience focusing on that cinematic feeling
  • Different interpretation and experience due to game being completely void of any dialogue

Cons:

  • Rather confusing story

Neutral:

  • Walking simulator
  • 2 hour experience

TL;DR

Short, confusing, but oddly satisfying movie-like experience that Virginia offers is very original and interesting.

Story

This one is very confusing. It's set in a small town and follows gradute FBI agent Anne Tarver who's assigned very interesting case to investigate. Story takes a weird turn midway and it almost seems impossible to catch what's completely going on. Due to game having zero dialogue or monologue for that matter, different interpretations and experiences of the story may lead to different opinions.

Gameplay

Crafted with beautiful visuals and an amazing audio and soundtrack, Virginia plays out like an interactive movie. You're expected to do a certain action and there's no 'freedom' to roam or explore on your own. Game presents itself like a movie and it does that rather well albeit with weaker story execution.

Graphics, optimisation and soundtrack

Interesting artstyle, solid optimisation offering 30/60 and uncapped FPS with apsolutely fabulous soundtrack will take you on an interesting and rather complex trip.

Is this game ProperValue for your money

Game while offers something somewhat unique in terms of movie-like experience, its vague story leaves a lot of unanswered questions that are never properly filled. If you are looking for a short, but alluring experience that will most likely leave you confused and hanging by a thread, feel free to pick this up. Otherwise, wait for a deeper discount.
