Virginia is exceptionally short and exceptionally bizarre, with no dialogue and even less clarity on its events. This is a simple interactive drama game that's very proudly not for everyone, but if you enjoy surrealist storytelling like that of Twin Peaks or Deadly Premonition, you're bound to find a nicely compelling indie game here, even if it does go a little too far off the rails at the end.

Brits giving an OK interactive movie/walking simulator that shuns the FBI is just golden. I don't think this game deserves a BAFTA.

Don't get me wrong. Production quality is excellent for such a small team. Good animation work, fitting music, great sound design and it's well paced to top it off. Still, the story comes out shallow and anticlimactic. Since it has a mute narrative, many of the story beats are open to interpretation. It makes me sad that it has no problem delivering its pro-drug use and pro-alcohol message. In the end, the underlying message (at least the clear bits) falls perfectly parallel to CIA funded Hippie Movement back in those days. Kind of ironic.
