Story

Dishonored puts you in a role of a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Following the story of Corvo, the Lord Protector sworn to serve Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. After being framed for the empress's murder, Corvo seeks vengeance against everyone who orchestrated his downfall. The game takes place in the industrial city Dunwall that is ruled by a vigorous regime that comes to power shortly after the death of the Empress. In search of Empresses daughter Emily, that's been kidnapped following the murder of Jessamine, Corvo tries his best to find Emily and clear his name. Story albeit predictable wraps up nicely for the sequel that's looking very promising.

Gameplay

One of the key aspects in why this game is rated highly among other Stealth/First-Person games is that it tries many different things, and in fact, succeeds in almost every single one of them. Being able to pick your playstyle and cater the story based off of your choice is something not a lot of games can say they tried and pulled it off. Weapons you have at your disposal, such as guns, knives, mines, crossbow and variety of supernatural abilities that allow you to approach your target in ways you wouldn't even imagine. Dishonored doesn't hold your hand, and while being 'linear', offers many different paths and routes to explore and take on your journey. You can choose either to try and remain unseen, swiftly moving behind the enemy lines like a ghost or maybe causing mayhem using everything at your disposal to dismantle your foes and reach your targets. Upgrading your abilities such as Blink that allows you to blink to a certain area, or time bending that allows you to slow and later on stop time, will give you numerous amount of ways to approach the objective. Dishonored is a masterpiece in terms of gameplay, offering hours of fun and enjoyment to the player.

Graphics, Optimisation and Soundtrack

Dishonored runs flawlessly combining interesting and often stunning art style with great voice acting and audio design that leaves nothing more to be desired.

Is this game ProperValue for your money

Absolutely! Dishonored is unique, unforgettable and very fun experience and I'd whole heartedly recommend purchasing Definitive edition in order to experience the DLC-s that improve upon the main game and close the chapter of the story nicely.
