Serious Sam is, and always will be, FPS the way it should be. So, when someone takes Serious Sam and makes it prettier... well, what you have is a masterpiece.
Gameplay that's simple, but impossible to master, a protagonist that makes the Duke wish he was tough and more traps than Admiral Ackbar could poke an octopus at. What I'm saying is that this game is seriously fun.
You were arguing that the ending was completely unrealistic because the chances that the portal would land on a perfectly flat surface were nearly impossible.

However, if you’ll look at video, you’ll notice that the entire ground is rugged and covered in moon rocks, so the portal clearly did not land on a perfectly flat surface as you said. This implies that moon rocks negate the need for a perfectly flat surface; the portal doesn’t really need to land on a completely flat surface, because moon rocks allow for portals even on rugged surfaces.
Just wanted to point that out. :)
