You can just about hear the chittering of the bugs in this game. The difficulty curve is like smashing facefirst into a brick wall, the camera is clunky and the graphics are half-assed, on top of being unoptimized for even the strongest gaming rigs, especially if fireball spells get spammed alot. It takes forever to get to the endings so you're well within your rights to borequit halfway through due to faffing around too much.
Also, astronomical prices of crafting/buying shit in the stores.
Red Orchestra 2, while a refreshing take at the East Front rather than the Normandy campaign, is just another brown/white cover-based FPS with no health regeneration. The commitment to realism kills the fun of the game as you can die from as little as 3 bullets. And for the longest time, singleplayer was unplayable due to lock-ups in the forced tutorials. The classes only dictate what weapons you get; there's no Heavy/Medic/Support like in any GOOD class-based shooter.
Magicka's literal 100% satire is funny, if only the first few times you play the campaign. Otherwise it's a horrifically buggy and broken game that's STILL struggling with crashes to desktops, arbitrary disconnects and even bluescreens (not the magick-induced BSOD). It was even unplayable on release, so the devs had to patch it something like every other day for the next couple of months.
Good schadenfreude, virtually non-existent Q&A/debugging.
