Well it's not too bad to be fair, but I have just seen one of the most stupid things. I thought lets compare, so I right clicked FO4 in steam, properties, unticked high res texture dlc, it only went and uninstalled the whole 55gb file so now I have to download it again. That's right, didn't disable it, deleted it. Stupid mofo's, well pissed.

It's been a long time since I played this on the Xbox 360, and I'd forgotten all but a few snapshots of the experience.
The atmosphere of the game I really like, some very nice environments and lighting considering what they had to work with at the time, there are many low res textures seeing as it was the 360 days obviously, but that doesn't bother me at all.
I like a lot of the weapons and the effects are good for the time.
There is a little frustration when fighting mutant's because of rush tactics, they just keep coming and it's a little annoying at times emptying clips into them.
Fighting bandits and infiltrating their bases is fun.
The vehicle side of things is okay, serviceable lets say, can be fun at times.
So overall an enjoyable experience, and one of the better titles of the 360 generation for me. Glad I revisited the title.

Lex Friedman says it's the best game ever made, and he's way smarter than me.

You know I really do love ATS and ETS2, but I don't devote as much time to ATS as ETS2. There's so many great things to say about both that has been said over and over again, and I can't say it any better so I won't try, but I will say I get pissed off with logging into ATS only to be met with a popup that says game change detected, your truck has been moved to a safe place. I have all the map DLC except the latest, Colorado, but I think I will not buy anymore because I just don't get to explore those areas before I find my truck parked back in bloody California or wherever it is I started in the bottom left corner of the map.

It's mainly because I just take short 30 minute drives, make a single delivery and then don't play for a couple of weeks maybe, I still have one truck and a basic garage so can't just teleport around the map, but they should maybe think about the person who doesn't want to have multiple garages or trucks, and come up with a system that doesn't send you to back to where you started every time they make a content update, just park me in a fuel station or a repair shop or something please.

Other than that, I love it ;)

It's an okay game I guess, I don't think it was worth the full asking price though, it's a small world with not a great deal of content other than shed loads of writing. I'm a bit mental myself so perhaps a lot of what I read just seemed pretty normal to me, so I just clicked through it with little feeling towards any of it, a few moments did make me laugh just a tiny bit though which is no small feat.

Took me 50 hours to get through it but at the end I can barely recall much of what happened, I do remember roundhouse kicking some racist prick, getting shot at, abused by cheeky kids, some feeling of nostalgia from my raving days of 30 years ago, and feeling like they must have first hand experience of dealing with fat lazy union pricks, nailed that. I also became a hobo cop and changed into a lot of very questionable outfits and carried a boombox on one shoulder and a bin bag in the other most of the time.

I chose to play as the sensitive character type and poured most of my points into the psych tree, fitting I guess. The game seemed to go very slowly a lot of the time, and felt like I achieved very little, and then the end just sort of arrived from nowhere with a dull thud and it was over. Maybe that's what they were going for.

I can't recommend it. It's a good looking game with some nice art, and some of the level design is quite good, but they seem to like dropping you in a box every so often with too many zombies and not enough stamina to kill them, which just lets it down and ruins the flow. The combat is my only real gripe, and the stamina mechanic is the main offender, but it's enough of a gripe to piss me off and I wouldn't recommend a game that pisses me off. Almost a great game.
