A joke of a game. As you would expect from Activision. Many many bugs. The progression and weapon unlocking makes no sense is no fun at all. Don't spend the money it's not worth it.

Awesome fighting game that is easy to get into but insane to master. All the better if you got friends to play against.

Great fighting game

Fantastic game. Played the demo way back in 2008 and loved it. Only now got around to playing the whole game.
Truly fantastic experience.

Great, fun & rewarding gameplay. Very decent graphics for 2008.

Great game all around. Fun combat and item system. Very engaging story with interesting conversation choices and different playstyles. Was very into building the character/items.
The graphics are pretty much unmatched in the RPG genre. Also great DLC with actual expansion feeling - very much worth it.

I bought this game thinking that it was a standalone version of the actual DayZ Mod. Turns out it actually is a huge step back from that. Much less content and even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance. I would not recommend anyone to buy this.
There are major bugs that make the game flatout unplayable for me.
-No loot respawning
-No proper server time setting
-Constant lagg and server crashing
-♥♥♥♥♥♥ menus and game preferences
-No cars or other vehicles
-Less weapons and interesting loot (such as gadgets and tools)
-Food/Drink/Health system annoying and totally unrealistic
-Loot you commonly find absolutely useless and mostly clothes

If you want to play DayZ Arma 2 + OA is still the much better choice. There are tons of great DayZ modifications which are so much more fun to play and actually feel more thought out than this "Standalone"-Version.
I rarely found myself regretting a purchase on steam that much.
It's a true shame how this turned out after all the time that has passed since the announcement of standalone. To me it feels like the developers have been sitting on their lazy asses and now cash in more and more money with the hype that built up around this mod.
