This is funky in some places because D2 menus can be navigated by pressing the key of the first letter of the word, the workaround I am using is making the up/down arrow keys turboed so they can be held to get through menus that give trouble. I have noticed there's a new source port for Descent II with a relatively recent release date, July 2023. I don't know much about it but it showed up in my Luxtorpeda menu today. Descent II has a bouncing problem that makes the game unplayable and Descent 3 locks up Windows 10! Is this fixable?

I own a CD copy of Descent 2. I cannot install it from the CD since the files are incompatible. Is there a way to do it with MS-DOS or something?

I play the first Descent a ton. Then I try to play D2 and the game play seems too fast. The up and down floating of my ship is 2x faster than in D1. Having played it years ago from a CD I dont remember it being that way.
