if ANNY !! enemy units gets in range of that circle they spot your units
i now this as i was playing a scermish and the enemy had a stealth generator, i covered the entire map with omni, and did not spot him until i stumbled on him by accident, also your stealth in that shield wil uncloack anny unit when its fire a single shot
seen a online battle, and that guy( agood one) did not see who was destroying his base, and it was a cybrian enemy commander with stealth + upgraded laser, as he had no omni, but more importent, no ground unit could get close enough to get in that area of cloack aound the commander :))
think about it !! if no radar, or units inside your stealth field could spot your units, then cybrian would be so freaking OP lol
In the end he even established a large forward base and we didn't know it was there until a fighter of ours chased a scout over it and we noticed. Lots of panick ...
While it can be really cool to pull this kind of stuff of, I sometimes feel like the scope and setup of supcom as a game is not really geared to reward this kind of gameplay a lot.
But I'm hardly into the multiplayer scene anymore. I got my ass kicked so much I rather went back to playing with the ai's. Heh.
