Goodbye Psychozen, Master of Minds, and Goodbye Battle for Graxia, the only MOBA
Bye my favourite immortal, you bursting support disabler caster monster with enough power to win a game. The only MOBA that forced me to like MOBAs, I always thought they looked nerdy/nasty and never liked the look as an FPS gamer, but when I reluctantly joined the fray for the 2011 steam christmas achievement prize challenge JUST for one achievement, I stuck with it even after I got the achievement for the prize. And now that LoL and DOTA 2 and some other ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MOBAs stole all of the players, this unfornately has to go down... I hope one day it gets relaunched and steals the steam store pages to get everyone's attention, but I'm guessing that most of us would be playing other MOBAs or games and wouldn't get back.

Now if only I had my 17kills 1 death replay with him to go with this... My 24-2 as a artifact Level 6 game didn't get saved since replays weren't at the time, but I really want this since it's the closest thing/best with psychozen. Also my death was from me charging into a turret to secure 3 kills, which I got.

Srsly... They shut down servers? I decided to play it again, but now it's removed from steam... Great. But then again I feel sorry for those who bought in game items and skins for real money.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it looked so fun, RIP Rise Of Immortals (whatever with the new name) and RIP awesome Steam promotions where you were able to discover new games...

And about "stealing" players - it's the other way - RoI wasn't able to steal players, MOBA players are monolythinc/fanatical (some say the worst community ever, that's why RoI was different - no way you got yelled at 2 mins into match), it takes a lot of effort to introduce new game

Yeah but if there weren't many MOBAs to take the players in the first place this would've been successful for sure :(

psychozen, neuthirgist, talia, tzai, lazarus, pycon, kyrie, balak, nysuss, kaos :/
R.I.P my fav. immortals :|
ROI was better than BFG imo, (developer) Petroglypth team made a huge mistake by converting the game from "original" ROI to BFG(LOL wannabe). I knew BFG would be a crap when it was at beta test phase (however i never entered the beta tests), and when BFG was launched i was right at my guess :D
PG team really screwed up the game with their "BFG" idea. ROI already didn't have much players in the world and then they came up with a crap expansion called "BFG" so the game lost more players in stead of having new ones. ( PG team was hoping to get more new players but it didn't happen :D )
when ROI was active, i was playing it approxiamtely a few hours a day, but when they released BFG i just played it once (as Kaos and won :D) and did NOT like the new BFG :)

as a result i just blame PG(Petroglypth Team) for this shut down:
1- they couldn't advertise this free game and let it known by the more people on internet
2- they came up with a sh*t idea which converted the game from ROI to BFG. (i think the original ROI was splendid since it wasn't similar to other games like LOL and Dota 2 as i said it was unique when it was ROI)

* I even missed the flame wars in the social hub after the matches, people were fighting, cursing and blaming eachother, and dodging ques, etc.... it was fun to watch and smile :)

The thing that eventually permanently stopped me from playing indeed was the conversion to BfG, or rather that they also deleted all achievements from ROI. I didn't feel like playing again at the chance that essentially my achievement progress is wiped every year. But I very much enjoyed the 25 or so hours I played ROI, it being one of the very few MOBAs I actually liked thanks to the 3vE and the permanent progression of characters.

Didn't know that they deleted achievements so often, sadly i wasted more than 50 hours in this game and when decided to play it again i found out that it is no longer available.

Well, they deleted them once, when it changed from ROI to BfG.

didn't delete for me, and I personally think BFG is better than RoI, more competitive and takes more strategy, the items make sense, the game itself was just amazing, and you could pick a character according to the team, so you don't get a whole team of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ casters or some ♥♥♥♥, and I'd rather have a once level 25 time than 50 single characters that need to be leveled, and casters had no power scaling items, yes BFG is more like other MOBAs and RoI was it's own thing but BFG is in fact better and makes more sense
