Problems with mouse cursor "sticking"? Help :(
So when move my mouse around in large swipes quickly everything is fine but when I move it very slowly as if to aim carefully it just doesn't respond. This is both in menus and in game.

I'm running Windows 7 x64. Quad core i7, plenty of RAM and gpu power, no overclocking or anything fancy though. I tried adjusting mouse smoothing, sensitivity, vsync and other things I thought my help but nothing works.

Any ideas?

I just tried playing it now, and I have the exact same problem. I haven't found a fix on google. Hopefully someone here knows.

I encountered the very same issue today. The strange thing is it did work fine yesterday and every other day before.

contacted bethsoft customer support for this and they just keep giving me the same troubleshooting tips. "check your dx diag info, make sure your directx version is up to date, verify integrity of game cache" blah blah nothing that actually helped.. really wish i didnt pay $20 for this and RoE when they dont even work right... i really, really hate that steam doesnt do refunds whatsoever too >.>

Not sure if this is still an issue, but turning off mouse smoothening in windows configuration for the mouse helped solve that problem for me. I turn it back on after playing Doom 3.

some shots in the dark here (pun intended), i dont know what is causing that but ill give some ideas that *may* cause this issue, im on win7 and never experienced it personally

*what mouse are you using? if you have any software for it installed it's possible the game isn't playing well with it
*what is your screen DPI in display settings set to? In windows, not your mouse. Win7 handles mouse movement weirdly and seems to be at least partly based on the DPI of the screen. If it's above 100% try changing it to 100% and retrying
*check mouse settings and see if enabling or disabling 'Enhance pointer precision' helps

(these need access to advanced features, if you have nvidia gpu you can use nvidia inspector, im not aware of any equivalent utility for amd)
*try enabling vsync again but this time test the difference between Double and Triple buffering
*if you have nvidia try changing vsync behavior to Standard or Adaptive and see if there's a difference
*do you have a gsync/freesync monitor? try disabling gsync/freesync
*try capping framerate to your refresh rate or some multiple of it

*i did some quick searching, and found a post from this forum https://steamcommunity.com/app/9050/discussions/0/540744475023675305/#c540744934396710889
KB2670838 was notorious for breaking things, some refer to it as 'the evil update'
since you're on windows 7 and i assume that, unlike me, you keep it up to date, deleting this security update seemed to work for the person who posted it (warning, this may potentially cause problems with other software), maybe search for it on your updates and if it exists try removing it
