I'm currently playing through a game of OpenX-com and it's been 3 in-game months and I still have not found any Elerium. I've done atleast 5 or 6 small or very small ships, some of which had landed completely on their own. Is my game bugged?

Your first UFO usually gives you a couple plasma rifles or heavy plasma- research those and you have plasma interceptors and the game's already broken wide open You just need a few captures after that, really.
