HALP IT WON"T START

When I press the play button for Half-Life, a notification titled "Fatal Error" comes up and says, "Failed to initialize authentication interface. Exiting..." I quoted exactly what it says and thats it.
I don't know why this is happening and I really want to play Half-Life. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS ALL THE WAY, MAN!!!

Don't spam the forums with the same forum topic.

Anyways did you run verify cache? also what are your PC specs? You might have to set it on admin or run compatablility mode

Also bear in mind. Just because this is an old game. DOESN'T MEAN it will not have problems. You might have a corrupted file or malware or god knows what else that requires computer attention
