cant play online anymore..?

i dint play dungeon defenders for months, just started again, but the 'play online' option is greyed out, i cant play online at all! cant click it, nothing! please help if anyone can.

well i did cheat a bit using costum exp maps,(that i got from others) but i never played ranked or anything like that, so why would they ban me for that? and why long after i stopped playing!?

Custom maps (including ones that ruin game balance) should be perfectly legal in Open, though. This seems to indicate that either you were doing something else that you aren't saying, or (much less likely) Trendy/VAC has been doing something horribly wrong.

open has vac also if you use a cheat or customized a dll or exe file it will cause vac

i don't think you "just" using a custom map for exp. you actually were cheating with a 3rd party program in the background. VAC won't catch custom maps in ranked/open. its main job is detecting any 3rd party programs. simple as that.

if you use a mod (some were out before workshop was added) and it alters a dll or exe file it will/can cause vac

well, the costum maps that we used dint just give crazy exp, also mana and loot, and it was before workshop was added, but hell, if i had know it wasnt allowed in open, i would have never used them, but how was i to know it modded stuff up to a 'illegal' point, i dint get the maps myself.
and im with dexter morgan on the point of: who cares about mods and hacks in open, i mean, if i used those maps in ranked, i woulnt even care, in fact, i would completely agree on the ban, but oh well, too late for that now.
