This game is super busted but it should stay that way.
So right now, a handful of people in the FGC are taking a crack at the game and are finding some really powerful high damage touch of death or close to it combos, and to some that's going to be very offputting, but I honestly think it gives the game its own personality. There are a million fighting games that try to be safe and balanced and restrictive, but absolutely crazy stuff is really fun too. I feel like if this game were to get balanced and normalized, it would be less interesting and would fall to the wayside of other higher budget games. As an example of the stuff I'm talking about:

That's just scratching the surface of what could be possible in the game with other characters, but the thing about it is the people doing these things are having a lot of fun with the game because there's one hell of an engine to explore. If the game was more restricted and more balance, it would be a less interesting game to play as scary as that may seem to the developers. There is a long standing history of broken games being really popular because of how fun they are. Some of the most beloved games in the FGC are incredibly busted.

This game is in a really interesting spot because of how dangerous it can be. With optimal damage output, it's basically a two touch game, which is very intense. Other games such as Virtua Fighter and Tekken can also be two touch games, provided you land very clean hits, but in this game simple confirms can lead to that damage, which brings it more in line with games like Fate/Unlimited Codes, which gets a lot of play because of how crazy it is. I know it's a hard thing to ask a developer to do, to leave your game super busted since you're going to be making certain audiences unhappy, but for people who will dedicate time to this game and keep playing it for a while, it's in a nice position. The good damage is not easy to do and requires decent execution and timing, but short decent combos are really easy to do and deal respectable damage. This is the type of game that because it's so crazy, players will just play longer sets to compensate, but that's just fine. Anyways, this is my plea to the developers that hopefully you can see things in this perspective. You were bound to see these things sooner or later by searching for people playing the game so there's no point in hiding it. I'm enjoying the game quite a bit right now and so are others, and it's because the game is so interesting and high damage. It has a lot of qualities that people like in fighting games, it's very open and expressive in how you can play.

I totally agree man, makes the game a lot of fun, and even without fully optimizing my combos, I got two-touch with Moses. nothing like beating people up with the ten commandments

pretty much every character has infinites cos of the jab juggle resets. its pretty fun though

I agree with this, a game about fighting gods doesn't have to be balanced, it's fine the way it is!
