theres any better way to get rarer items without being through gamble?

i am a bomber, void bomber, and i'm tired and sick of all gamble and item weapons dropping for angel, osprey and paladin, is is this? gamble just drop items for these 3? theres no way to obtain blades with more rarity?

Get AirMech Complete Bundle or no?

So these DLCs mention all this currency and XP stuff, I only want to get the game for single player so should I bother with it or just get the base game?
