Dota 2 crashes on start up

I had the spectator client installed, and I think I got into the beta, and now when I try and launch the game, after it goes past the valve logo screen, there is the dota 2 logo, and the game crashes to desktop. I tried validating game files, and it said all files are fine. Any idea what could be wrong?
