Dota 2 and steam keep disconnecting

So this has started a week or so back and I am sick and tired of this. Every time at peak times from 19:00-21:30 ( I am from south africa btw) my steam keeps disconnecting every few seconds and the recconects. Also i am unable to connect to the dota 2 network. It just sits there loading. IT IS NOT MY INTERNET CONNECTION! because everything is working 100% i can browse and even play other games... PLEASE tel me what I can do since steam support is really slow... oh and btw this only happens at peak times...
