Opening old treasure chest now
Now that DOTA2 has changed the name rank of items, and Inscribed means now items will have a gem socketed in them (instead of just kill counts for strange items), has anyone tried opening them to see whether you get other kinds of inscribed gems? Not that i have done it but would be nice to know since these gems can create a bigger market for items-socketing

Old strange modifiers(not sure if that's what you mean), now are inscribed bundles, coming with a gem and chisel in one package.

Thanks for answering. This used to be an old post but that was not what i meant.

Let's say you open an invoker chest and you get the hood of endless intellect. Before it would be a strange item, but now because the property "strange" has changed to "inscribed", theoretically the item is supposed to contain a gem.

This helps because now useless chests like dragon knight or drow has a value, even if the item itself sucks. You can extract the gem and put it on other items of your choice, like the boreal rare hood, and sell the rare for a high price.
