Dota 2
Need some tips for solo mmr raising
I'am trying so hard.So damn hard. After 1.5k hours I know mostly everything about Dota, I have good game sense, but when mmr has been announced I didn't cared about anyting at all.Now I'am at 2.5k mmr and I get...noobs for me.Not noobs because they mostly know how the game works but they are noobs for me.They forget to buy wards after 20 minutes, have low or no game sense at all and such. This isn't the worst part. The worst part is that they can't understand that it's their fault if they die/lose (yes, gamesense). They can't understand that Bara can't stun while he is stunned or can't stun someone spellimmune or can't understand not to go to teamfight 4v5 whitout the hard carry because they'll just feed the enemy.I try to teach them, some of them are greatful for me helping them but there is the other half calling me noob for trying to critisize their technique leading to our lose.

So yeah, I need some tips :/

victory depends only on u. Instantly pick strong char (carry i guess) and lead ur team, Forget bout picking suports usually it works only on high mmr (4000+). In case u cant deal with ur brainless mates then u should mute them and play solo. No flame, no rage, no blame. Just think u can do it by yourself. GL, lad.

get gud Nah, in all honesty, any tips for me too? Like simply saying get better doesn't help. If, for example, I have a ganker hero, and I need a smoke of deceit. Its unhelpful to have supports (if you even get supports that is) that don't ward or deward, meaning you have to do both AND buy smoke. How do you be good when you have to do everything or receive little help?
That means to be good, to raise your MMR, you must not only play at the level you would if you had a proper team, you must play better than that in order to get to an MMR that accurately reflects your skill. MMR is inaccurate for that reason - it can be in part, influenced by the competence of your team, not just your skill.

Storm Spirit and TA are best heroes for boosting mmr. Tips I heard from proffesional boosters:
- Play mid, because mider leads the game.
- If you loose as support - it's carries fault, if you loose as carry it's supports fault... but if you loose mid - it's only your fault. DO BETTER!
- It's 1vs9, you VS 5 enemies and 4 heroes, who feed or steal your farm.
- If suports do not buy cour, you buy it yourself.
- If there is no wards, be more attentive to the map.

this is a good advice. i've also seen that i can't trust anyone else to carry the game (in 2.3K. yeah i know... is bad), because when we win teamfights, our carries go back to jungle instead of pushing towers/rackses... pick good pushers. preferably carries, while trying to counter pick at the same time.

Actually, the losing mid one is pretty accurate.

The only tip I can give you:

Stop thinking you know everything about Dota and that you have a good game sense / awereness. You don't. If you did, you wouldn't be placed in 2,5k MMR to begin with.

If you think you're in trench tier only because of your teammates, you're so wrong it's painful.

Cheers,

A player that plays in 4500-5500 MMR pool.

I don't say that I'am 4000-5000 mmr player, maybe around 3500 mmr.And I wouldn't been complaining if there would not be tons of people having the wrong rank.I've seen lots of people in my team and the enemy teams who were better than others but because of 1 or 2 players actually belonging to that rank makes the better guys losing mmr.Seriously, 90% of my friends are under 3k mmr and one of them is having 20+ kills in most of his games as Ember Spirit and still under 2.5k mmr.I don't say it's bad system but if it's that simple why not reset mmr every year maybe?

I'am just sick of people being boosted up into 5k mmr and then saying "you deserve your rank".
I was like this too until I didn't started to play ranked.

guys im 1.5k mmr, mostly beacuse of my fault, i was new to dota and tried out new heros on ranked matches. Now roughly 8 months later i know why mmr matters and i have literally studied other players like w33,meracle,waga etc. I've tried everything, from supports to carries to nuker so much so that TA is now one of my best heros. I cant stay in this bracket where a tinker buys mana boots and a venomancer mid gets Bfury... Pls help

pick support and win the early game.
many players onl go carry and lose, cause the carrys suck in early and get no farm at all.
if u support ur carry he will be able to farm and get some early kills

the very firs tthing about iproving MMR is to realize that you are where you belong and those noobs you play with are on the same level as you are.

MMR is a very complicated thing. If you feel like your teamamtes are lacking in several skills related to dota, but they are still on the same MMR as you, that means they are better than you at several other aspects of the game.
