Today we are introducing The Fall Season 2015 Compendium. In addition to Challenges and Level Rewards, we have introduced a new Coin Wagering system. Players can wager their coins on the outcome of their match. Wagering members of the victorious team will each win a percentage of the Coin Pool based on the amount of their maximum wager compared to the rest of their team.

Compendium Coins can be earned by completing challenges, achievements, random drops, inside the Compendium for items, sets, or a treasure. The treasure contains exclusive new items that are divided into three tiers of rarity. In the Armory, you can use lower tier items to craft a higher tier reward.

Increase your Compendium Level to earn new couriers, treasures containing sets with unlockable ambient effects, an Artifact item for Tusk, new Cache treasures, and more. This all leads up to The Frankfurt Major, where sixteen teams will battle for a fixed $3,000,000 prize pool from November 16 through the 21st. Tickets to The Frankfurt Major Finals can be purchased here[www.eventbrite.com].

Complete Challenges to Earn Coins
Activate the Fall Season Compendium to take part in challenges. Before each match choose which challenge you'd like to attempt. Complete it, then win the match, and you'll earn a bounty of Coins.

Wager Coins on Your Matches
Players can wager their coins on the outcome of their match. Wagering members of the victorious team will each win a percentage of the Coin Pool based on the amount of their maximum wager compared to the rest of their team.

Recycle Items to Earn Coins
Items from your armoury can be recycled to give you coins.
Common = 25 coins
Uncommon = 50 coins
Rare = 75 coins
Mythical = 100 coins
Legendary = 125 coins
Immortal = 200 coins

Redeem Coins for Exclusive Rewards
You can redeem coins inside the Compendium for items, sets, or a treasure. The treasure contains exclusive new items that are divided into three tiers of rarity.
In the Armory, you can use lower tier items to craft a higher tier reward.
Fall 2015 Coins may be redeemed for items, sets and treasures until January 15, 2016. These items, sets, treasures, and items earned from treasures, are in-game items that cannot be transferred. They have no monetary value and cannot be cashed out.

COMPENDIUM LEVEL REWARDS
Earn rewards as you increase your Compendium Level. Every 100 points you add to your Compendium increases its level, allowing you to earn additional Tribute treasures, Coin Charms and Challenge Coin Boosters.

Tribute of the Piercing Beak
The first of two treasures, the Tribute of the Piercing Beak features new sets created by the community and available exclusively to Compendium owners. Each set within the Tribute contains an item which can be permanently upgraded with special ambient effects.
Receive at levels 25, 30 and either treasure every 10 levels thereafter

Tribute of the Sharpened Feather
The 2nd tribute treasure exclusive to Compendium owners.

Tribute Upgrade Infuser
Use a Tribute Upgrade Infuser on select items found in Tribute treasures and you'll permanently unlock special ambient effects for that item.
Infusers can be found as rare items within Tribute treasures, and from every fifth Tribute you open

Tusk: Whisky the Stout Artifact
Fresh from the frozen wastes, Whisky the Stout has arrived to help Tusk corner his enemies. Features an exclusive new effect for Tusk's Ice Shards ability.

Soaring Cache and Compendium Coin Update
Available exclusively to Fall Compendium owners, the new Soaring Cache treasure contains 7 new sets, including a rare set for Warlock complete with a new Golem summon. The cache also has a very rare chance to contain the Padda’pon of Ribbi’tar Death Ward item for Witch Doctor, which can further be customized by Prismatic Gems. Additionally, every fifth Soaring Cache you open will also yield a Bonus Cache which contains either 5, 11, 24 Compendium levels, the Warlock set or the Ribbi’tar Death Ward. Unlike the previous Collector’s Cache items which were never tradable, the Soaring Cache items can be traded like normal Treasure items and are immediately giftable and fully tradable a month after the event ends. You can also recycle any Soaring Cache items for 2 Compendium Levels.

We’ve also made a number of improvements to increase everyone’s coin earnings. We’ve removed the 5% cut from Coin Wager winnings and added Wager Bonuses which increase how many coins you can win from a match wager as well as allowing you to earn Coins even when the opponents did not wager. Compendium owners also now have a chance to receive a Coin Treasure or 750 Coin Pack at the end of a match.

When the Reborn Update released last month, new music arrived with it. The Dota 2 Reborn theme is an update to the original Dota 2 theme that also incorporates several new melodies which have been added to the game over the last several years. While the orchestra played, the cameras looked on. We’d like to present this look at the recording of the Dota 2 Reborn theme.

We are also pleased to announce that we have begun adding Russian voices to Dota’s heroes. This first release includes the default announcer and nine heroes, with more voices coming soon. Players can select which voice language they would like to hear by opening Steam and right-clicking on Dota 2. From here, select Properties, then Language, and choose your preferred voice language. Steam will then download the new language.

Several other features and fixes are also included in today’s update, including the return of Team Matchmaking, and the ability to share announcers with other players in your matches. Check out the update notes for more information.

Hey woody, right now I can't download the Compendium. Could you help me out? I was wondering if I could just get the treasures without participating in the coin wager stuff. I just want those cosmetics, not the coins.

I think you need to buy the compendium to get the treasures, or you could wait until they are tradeable and get them that way but obviously that will take a while.

I think you need to buy the compendium to get the treasures, or you could wait until they are tradeable and get them that way but obviously that will take a while.

But is it possible to get everything without having to gamble with coins? I just want to collect them. If there are cosmetics that you're not gonna be able to get without having to wager coins, I wouldn't be buying. I'll just wait for them on the market. But if not, I'm buying.

There are challanges like with the international, there is the 10 hero challange and you get coins and treasures for upgrading the compendium with money if you'd prefer that. There are also rewards for doing certain things and you can craft items you don't want to get better ones.

You can do it without gambling but it may not be as fast. Seems to me the wagering bit is a fairly minor addition to the compendium.
