Vocalization spam

I'm looking for a way to limit/eliminate vocalization spam, e.g. Rochelle laughing repeatedly for the entire campaign. Does anyone know of a console command (?) or other means to accomplish this on an as needed basis? (besides voting to kick, deleting the sound files, or actively/passively murdering said player)

Alias, I have another way for you.. Go in Your steam folder SteamAPPS - Common - L4D2.
From there you have
Left4dead2_dlc1
Left4dead2_dlc2
Left4dead2_dlc3
Left4dead2_YourLanguage ( Optional If Another language than English )

Go in each of those 3 Or 4 Folders, In (SOUND - PLAYER - SURVIVOR ) folder of each one, And delete Those "SURVIVOR" Folders. You have no more Vocalizers.

Another thing : Steam might try to update your soundfiles again.... I did not find any ways to stop it, you have to download it and delete them once again.

Yeah it's just rampant. The best thing is just delete all the survivor voice sounds. Valve won't ever fix it.

We limit character vocals on our server but that only helps if we're on our server. It won't help when playing a pub game.

There are addons for muting survivors. You can use them in Versus if you read Ion's Workaround.

There's also some vocalizer commands that block other commands from working. I.E initiating the command c5m5button1 will superceade most other vocalizer commands, making them not work. It means nobody will be able to hear anybody else if somebody gets snagged though, they don't scream or say anything.
