Fix for White screen for AMD users.

The latest AMD drivers seems to have fixed it a lot of people but not all.

This is more of a temporary fix until the Developers fix it themselves.

1: Download this older AMD driver version.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-Edition-16.11.5-Release-Notes.aspx

Just scroll down and click on the OS version that you have.
I couldn't direct link the files due to AMD being silly.


2: Then head to
C:\Program Files\AMD\CIM\Bin64
In that folder there is a exe file called AMDCleanupUtility.exe run that and it will remove all of the drivers and programs for AMD cards. Don't worry, this is how you should re-install drivers anyway.

The program will tell you when it's done and the screen will black out like 2 or 3 times. When it's done it'll want to reboot your PC.


3: Now go to where you downloaded the driver version and install it. Also don't have auto update on when it's done installing or it'll just download a newer version.


Also I don't know how to solve white screen issue for Nvidia cards.

Edit: Oh and I'm not part of the Developer team in any kind of way. I'm a Global Steam Moderator. I can Moderate all sections on Steam discussions.

sadly there does not seem to be any kind of consistent fix for nvidia yet but i still hold out hope

on NV gtx780Ti I haven't found a solution but why works the game whith a gtx 660 is almost the same gpu it's a Keppler too only they have lees unified and so on. my 660 is a oc model from Gainward and the 780ti is a founders release

It's stupid to downgrade for only ONE game, it's not a fix, it's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, prefer to wait a real fix ... or a real fix made by someone else...

You call it fix? To rollback drivers and to play with bugged fullscreen mode? I'm really pissed of Indifference of developers. It's really in japanese style to release crooked product, to take money and then igonre their customers.

They may both be based around Kepler, but they are fundamentally different chips. The 660 is a GK104 built for mainstream gaming while the 780Ti is a GK110 taken straight from a Tesla compute unit.

Technically it is a fix, it isn't a good one and once I'm done with this game I'm moving to the latest driver.

He's not a developer, he's a global steam community moderator. He can't do anything about the game being broken other than help spread the words about the workarounds we find.
