This game is an over-the-shoulder 3rd person military cover shooter game which focuses on the character you play as and his two comrades journey into an almost post-apocalyptic Dubai (terrible weather conditions have left half of the city buried in sand). The three of you are sent to recover information about the Damned 33rd squadron and locate them.
Spec Ops: The Line is my favourite military shooter game because of a few reasons:
- its linear like most others but provides you with choices along the way that shape the way your character and the two soldiers that accompany you think.
- instead of focusing on blowing up terrorists and being a "hero", the game focuses on the true horrors of war and the effect of PTSD on soldiers.
This game is definitely worth picking up whenever you can, it usually goes on sale real cheap (Around £4.99) at which point it becomes a MUST buy for anyone wanting some fun combat and a compelling story.
