The Premier Club not working?

So i bought the retail version of Borderlands 2 some days ago, and i supposedly got the premier club thing with it, strangley enough, i can't get it. According to pamplet it should active when i wrote in the game code in steam, but i haven't seen any of it yet... Is this normal, or do i have to do something extra?

When I bought the game from GameStop, I had enter the game code, the premier club code, and the Slaughter Dome code seperately. The last two of which were printed out on my receipt. Hope this helps!

So should i try to use the code that is on the back of the pamplet? Sorry if i seem abit dumb, but i am kind of new to all of this stuff, i am used to playing on a console...

Yeah i have the Premier code and it says enter it when it you enter the installation disk but when i do i get nothing to type the code in?

Go to your game library, hit ADD A GAME... at the bottom left and Activate a product on Steam. Bang in your code and there you are! Was in the same boat as all you gentlemen until I figured it out. The steps to follow on the back of the pamphlet are worse than useless.

God are people retarded and havent figured out what to say sighn up for shift it will tell you to enter your code and youll get everyting.

If your product code is dot matrix printed make sure to check the characters very carefully, I once had a code with a single tiny dot as the difference between V and Y...

i tried to tyoe it in to shift but nothing hapend. it just said code not valid... :(

This does seem to be an issue,I was in the same boat but finaly got the code to work.Here is how I did it,hope it works for you guys.....
My game came from retail disk bought from Amazon.
from desk top I reloaded the disk and started the game to first menue I then minimised the game back to desktop.
I then opened Steam, in the botom left hand corner there is a tab > +add a game< left click and select "add a game" and type in the product code for the "premier club" from the premier club card that came with the game (you should have a manual with the game code on it and also have the mentioned "premier card" as a seperate sheet with the premier code. Once I had done this the add steam game reconised my code. I then shut the game down from the disk and started the game on steam once I had verified the local files. Do not be worried if upon starting the game you only see the golden key, when you restart the game the golden weapons will be added to your inventory (not very good if you have progressed beyond level5).
Hope this helps! Do remember to check the product key as some characters look the same.

Those Codes DO NOT go into Shift....Like merc_jim said the codes get activated thru Steam "Activate a Product on Steam"

As for you guys getting invalid codes don't give up it could very well be an issue with Steam and authentication issues. Steam has been less than "stable" since the release of BL2.

Just be darn sure your inputting them correctly(O and 0's, L's and I's for example) Surely they aren't sending out bad codes but your not the first or the last to have these problems.
