where can i find the best level 50 sniper rifle?

Either everywhere (Tumtum Muckamunk: best critical damage),
in the Beatdown drop from burner enemies (Cobra: good damage with a critical hit, best damage without critical)
or in the Dust drop from Gettle (Lyuda: one of the most accurate sniper with a good fire rate and a low recoil).

There are a couple of legendary sniper rifles and the "Best" is mainly just opinion but for your convinience ill list a couple and where you can get them.

Skullmasher - Son of Mothrakk in the wildlife preserve.
Lyuda - Gettle in the dust.
Volcano - Warrior in the vault of the warrior.
Invader - Saturn in arid nexus badlands.

There are a couple more of them that are decent aswell.

1.6mil dmg with cobra and my mechro, that's quite something...
I haver a blue 30k jakobs marcus gave me, it is better than any legendary SR in my opinion, but then came the cobra...

Less raw power, but with added explosive bonus dmg, splash damage, and good for loaders too...

Yeah, the 25k cobra I have beats my trusted 29.5k purple Jakobs. Both normal hits and critical hits on the Cobra deal more damage than that on the purple sniper. Gotta love explosive damage.

Explosive damage is the best elemental type, it simply works on anything and any kind of enemy shield...
Before i had a 30k jakobs and 27k corr rifle for loaders, the cobra replaced both once again...

The skullmasher has probably the highest raw dps, but it sucks at long range, i never liked it...
Vulcanos are underwhelming, i trieded some lyudas too, i really dont know what the deal is with them...

I did think about farming to obtain the skullmasher to use as my main sniper, though after hearing it was inaccurate at long range, it sort of ruined the point of what a sniper is really.
And yeah, I have long gone after explosive type weapons - ever since I started I always had a explosive pistol & shotgun. Like you said, it works on anything.

A good torgue shotgun is unrivaled in power, and they are just pink at best and can be bought from any torgue machine, as is the Harold the best pistol of the game...

I have a 180% crictical skullmasher, when i went to test it was disapointed...

Does anyone like the tum tum bufalo?
I used one in my first playtrough and it kicked like a mule, unfortunately the one i got on tvhm was low level and useless, never had the luck of shooting a lvl 50 one...

The new dlc might fix that with the renewed tum tum bufalo by jakobs...

I switch between a Barking Volcano and Skullmasher, both level 50s and HIGHLY effective.

Cobra is a great all-around rifle, though others can be better in certain roles like a skullmasher up close or a 30K purple at range. Sadly, I lost my Cobra to my friend screwing up a trade :(
Would anyone be willing to help a man out?

Buffalo isn't to bad at Lvl 50 but the lack of a sight means you might want to practice a bit with it first
The Elephant gun in the Hammerlock DLC is even stronger (I had one 46K damage) but it hasn't got a sight either.
You can't go wrong with Cobra or Ludya
