Is this game still worth getting with the new one coming out?

Hey guys, i think this game would be pretty fun, but is it worth buying when the new one seems to be coming out in October?

What woud you guys recommend i buy, if even anything. Just the base game?

The new game is a prequel to to BL2. Get this as well for the story. Get the GOTY Edition + Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. The rest of the DLC are optional.

Wait for a sale, I got the GOTY + Upgrade Pack 2 for $11 a few weeks ago.

Next big sale on Steam will probably be around black friday so you'd probably have to wait a while.

The DLC all together adds 75% more content to the game. It takes roughly 60 hours to complete every aspect of the main game. The DLC (Captain Scarlett, Big Game Hunt, Campaign of Carnage, Tina Tina, 5 Headheadhunter Packs) adds another 45 hours or so of content to game nearly doubling it in size.

Get it! i love this game, i must say i'm slightly addicted ;p i have it for 360, both my ps3s and my pc. i'm getting the presequal and the new battle borne game too! so stoked!

Thats just to complete that content right? So adding on the replayability factor with finding loot and leveling up and stuff it should last a very long time im guessing?

I expect to have over 3000 hours played by the time Pre-Sequel comes out, but that's only because my son and I have slowed down our Vault Hunting considerably as of late.

I prefer older games, because I am a penny-pincher. I love, love, love this game. I got the Game of the Year edition during the Steam Summer Sale and have not regretted it... except maybe for the time I should have spent doing more important things. XD
